If I take a six-plug daisy chain power lead, cut off four of the plugs (so that two remain), then cover the "wound" with electrical tape, will it still work!? Any assistance appreciated! JapanAxe Posted August 13, 2013 Share Posted August 13, 2013 You can, but you'd be better off just taping up the unused plugs so that they don't short out on earthed parts. Better still, find a rubber cap that you can cover them up with. The caps used to cover up the ends of lengths of cable sold in Wickes will work for this! Have you looked at other power solutions if you want the tidy board i.e. the various bricks?
