Yet another which colour thread...

I'm a bit closer to making a decision on a bass, and am now thinking of a new Standard Jazz (as they are surprisingly cheap if you shop around - £739 ish).

I'm looking at either a Candy Cola or a Blizzard Pearl.

It will definitely be a maple neck, but what colour body should I go for? How good are the colours in the flesh?

Colours are (all available in maple and rosewood):

Blizzard Pearl
3-Color Sunburst
Olympic White
Black
Candy Cola Rosewood
Charcoal Frost Metallic

Charcoal Frost Metallic sounds nice, and looks alright as well but would need to see high res or in the flesh. Candy Cola is a nice red as well, fenders always look nice in red with maple boards.
Olympic white with torty also looks swish, although the vintage white they did (the creamy off white one, might have had another name) would look better.

Don't think anywhere around here has them...

Would really like to seee Blizzard pearl in the flesh first.

Call me a stick-in-the-mud, but...

Tone / Playability > Manufacturing Quality > Finish > Colour.

Or in other words, buy the best sounding / playing one!
All else being equal, then choose a colour you like!
This coming from someone who has i) Never purchased a (specific) bass I haven't tried in a shop.
ii) The Best-sounding collection of aesthetic disasters known to man.
