Dirty bass

Hi all - I'm new here (though have bought and sold a fair bit over at musicradar and on evilBay, if you need any feedback).

I have the following [relic][punk rock beauty][piece of sh!t][shabby chic work of art]* bass for sale.

* delete as appropriate

It's key features are as follows:

1. it has a naked lady on it
2. it's been badly refinished, has a knob missing, and that scratchplate is home made
3. it was cheap to begin with
4. the electrics work, though I would expect the quality of the sound to match the quality of the finish
5. it has a naked lady on it

Just look at this beauty!

You can have this beauty for only £30 collected from Leeds!

Unless, that is, your name is Tarquin and you have a large trust fund, in which case this will really tie your front room together and demonstrate your individuality, and it can therefore be yours for only three thousand pounds. :)

Good afternoon, Red...

My name is Tarquin, and I would be very interested in putting a bass of this sort on display, but would prefer the 'rugbyman' model.
Incidently, I didn't realise that you knew my sister that well...
Good luck with the sale, ducky.

Hi Tarquin, I think this IS the rugbyman model, it's just the ultra rare chinese made reissue version. That makes three grand a total bargain, which is why I will sell it to you for four. Just PM me your bank details, pin number, national insurance number, home addres and mother's maiden name and we'll get the ball rolling old chap.

Sounds like a bargain to me. Here you are...
Bank details:
Royal Bank of Uruguay, Caiman Islands branch, Account n°: 645 734 87 789 56
Pin N°: 5498
NA N° 6 342 657 998 0
Home address: 125b, Sutherland Street, London WC1 (when I'm in England...)
Mother's maiden name: Doris (but I don't see why you need that, she doesn't play bass, much...)
Please get this 'ball rolling' ASAP, as I am eager to hang this rare piece on my wall (and the bass isn't bad, either...)
Many thanks in advance, I didn't realise that things could go so smoothly.
Eagerly awaiting delivery...

Thanks Tarquin. Please wait for 14 days and the bass will be with you. The debit will show on your account as "Western Union transfer, Lagos".

Many thanks

Tempted as I'm in Leeds, it's cheap and the body shape is cool.

Does it sound totally terrible? Any idea what it is and where it came from?

I totally don't need the thing but it just looks interesting, think I'd change the scratchplate tho.

You'd need to try it out to be honest, in terms of what it sounds like, as I don't know enough about basses to describe it properly. Happy to facilitate a meet up though? I'll PM you my details.

I have no idea what it is. I bought it years back off ebay and it's been in the loft for most of that time - your guess is as good as mine!

Eeeh <- *buzzer sound*
You are not allowed to say on here that it was in a loft for years unless it was Entwistle's loft.
