Headphone amp

I've just fitted an East J-Retro to my Blade 5 string (I know, awesome!) and now want a headphone amp for private practice that delivers just the sound of my bass to a pair of headphones. I've got a couple of little ones at the moment, but they've all got 'amp simulators' on them. I'd just like to hear the output of the bass and/or pedalboard. Ideally a 9volter that can run on mains and batteries, and the smaller (and cheaper) the better.

Any suggestions?

Cheers, Paul

You could try one of these. I use one connected to my PC and it works extremely well. it runs for ages and charges over USB. The only downside is the mini jack input so you would need an adaptor.
It does have a bass boost but you can disable it.

This looks great.

So could I just plug the output from my pedal board into this and go?
