Well yeah - it's not good news though...
The paint wouldn't cure to the wood so we decided to the most horrible thing ever :( Stripped it back completely for it to be resprayed.

Boo :(
That's a shame mate, but it has to be done right.
Hope it's in your grubby mitts soon :yarr:

So.....what happened with the bass? Final pics etc........we're waiting

Sigh :(
Well at the last check - the paint wouldn't take correctly. Then Rich had to get surgery on his leg and I've no idea when he'll be able to continue.

Pretty much fallen at the last hurdle really :/

I think it had been painted now, so it's just really needing the pickups fitted I think (and put together I assume)

Hey guys,
It just appears to have been issue after issue after issue - after the paint there was several uncertain months if the paint was taking etc.

I believe Rich was working on the pickguard now, or was - before buggering his neck.

Pretty frustrating to say the least. :( Rich might be able to confirm what the current status is.

There's a lot more stuff going on in Rich's life at the moment than meets the eye, stuff he won't freely talk about.

Very frustrating for all parties involved...

Okay - Had a proper discussion with Rich and cleared some things up.

Good news is he believes that the paint issue is hopefully fully resolved now.
More good news is that the neck work is looking pristine and perfect.

And

I admit, I was getting worried. But with Rich's attention to detail (some might say obsessive ;) ), Should have known there was nothing to worry about.

Soon my pretty! :P

This isn't the right pickup - it will have the poles covered.

I'll get them up. Its amazing!
Actually insanely light! You'll need to try it man :P dont you need a 6 string? ;)

Haha! The Yammie sees more of me than the 6 string. The sixer just covers the heavier stuff, and anything that needs sweeps ;)

Hoping to whip up a 4 string super P design with Rich after I saw yours drying!

But speaking of ERBs I was interested in planning an 8 string... F# to F if you were wondering ha!
