I think the op was trying making a point - I don't know what point as I don't frequent TB - I would guess that there have been a few really dumb questions/polls of late.
The point I perceive being made is 'look at me'.

Do you mean American culture? I percieve it spans the gamut of human experience. I don't believe its possible or wise to generalise.
What amused me was that in the poll results graph at the top none of the colors (sic) mentioned corresponded to the colour of the bar representing the result. I suppose that's ironic, and would have been missed by TBers on the whole. :)
Although, just to confuse us, the "blue" bar is actually coloured blue. For the rest, I thought I was colour blind (my wife swears I am, but I tell her women and men have different perceptions of colour).

Black is missing. Serious omission.

Black is not a colour, it is the absence of colour.

I can't believe some of the inane responses on that thread :)

I am colour blind so I like black guitars because I can tell they are black :)

The last time I was allowed to paint anything in our house on my own, apparently the skirting boards and door frames were pale yellow and the walls pale blue......

I hang my head in shame (because if I had of read the can I would of known....)

I thought it was more that black just absorbs light instead of reflecting it, meaning it doesn't reflect the lightwaves needed to produce each of the specific colours.

It's also in the CMYK colour model, so it must be officially a colour :)

And on that note, we return to the OP... talk**** nonsense :)

Absorbing and non reflecting - absence of light, no?

What does favourite colour have to do with bass.?
