    I think it's the original one. The top layer of it (the tort bit) is even starting to Peel back a little around the edges, especially near the fingerboard. The pau ferro board is absolutely immaculate! Loving the warmth from it. That and flatwounds seem to tame the trademark MM "Boing" which is desirable on a fretless I think. Gets the Pino Paul Young vibe no probs Slight bit of yellowing here and there on the finish, I dunno if this is common with the Mary Kays ...?

Features a 2x10 and 1x18 and Series 6 AH200 (actually, it's the amp section from my 1215 combo.     Like others have said, pity they didn't all play the same piece of music... I've just put a Dimarzio model P in my P bass and it sounds great!

    [b]Eminence 10's no longer available!! (traded)[/b] Next up, a Celestion BN15-400X... Extremely light 15 inch driver! 400 watts. I bough this thinking that it would be perfect for my tiny Trace 1215 combo, but it turned out to be a mismatch. It saved me some weight but I've since learned (from some BC'ers in the know) that this driver is designed to work with a much larger cabinet space, for example, in a Trace 1518 cab or similar. So if you're thinking of buying this, make sure your cab is suitable. I always seem to learn the hard way! Anyway, I've done two smallish sized gigs with it in the combo, at sensible levels, so it's still pretty much in "as new" condition, although the original box is a little tatty. Will be carefully packed though. Some retailers are charging over 200 quid for these! [b]£90[/b] posted.     You been looking at that one on ebay? Me too... I think it's passive only. I've got a 1100s which does both; very similar in appearance but has a small switch to select the active, and has three extra knobs for bass mid and treble in active mode (mine is also bolt on of course) Mine actually sounds better in passive mode. The thru neck on this 1000s will be a further advantage I think. A winner I reckon

    I was born in Jan 1973, so almost my year of birth bass. Lovely bit of wood! Assuming this was always a natural? (ie not stripped of its paint) Love it with the black pickguard particularly, just wish I had the dough! Bump for a beauty!
