Not sure. It seems there isn't going to be a headless version...
It won't matter to some, if MK has one, they have to one. Nonetheless, I wonder if it sounds greatly different to the original KB.

Im going to guess that in the next so many months die hard MK fans are going to be selling just about everything to get one of these.

I think your most likely going to get alot of guys saying to go for the Lakland JO, and I'd say so as well, as it has been said before, Lakland are much better at making jazzes than Fender. But I'd also put foward Sadowsky Metros as well.

Here it is: Though, here is a better quality clip of pretty much the same thing: Yawn...
did you try many other 6 string basses before you decided to go with MTD or did you decide to get a 6 version of the 5 you already liked?
The latter, but I'm also finding myself favouring the 635 over the 535 lately.
-
Prior to getting my 635 I had only minor 6 string experience, I had borrowed a Dean Edge 6 string for a brief while and got use to it quite quickly but at that time I was young so I was more imrpessed by the fact I had another string to "Solo" with. And then not too far on I had a brief go on a Thumb BO 6 string fretless, needless to say it wasn't for long at all, and then that was it. I was a bit apprehensive to buying the 635, but having gone from a 4 string to a 5 string in the space of a month, and feeling 100% comfortable with it as opposed to past experiences with 5's, and narrowing it down to the quality of the bass is what made the transition so easy, I decided to go for it. And since having it for almost 2 weeks now, I can happily say I've adapted to it as I hoped I would. The bass really does play itself, the neck is a handful but I'm comfortable with it, the string spacing is perfect for me, it balances well, the action is just right, it is perfect for me in every way. The tone is pure Andrew Gouche and thats all I want. I'd happily have another one.
Well I was certainly entertained! Thanks Josh. Did funk metamorphise or fade away?
A bit of both, "Real" funk (Curtis Mayfield, Sly & The Family Stone, Parliment etc....) seemingly faded away or tried to update the music and in some cases failed badly. And then Level 42 came along....
Hey Josh if the new owner is tired of it and you don't fancy it back... give me a shout
Oooo to my suprise he is looking to sell it, so I should hopefully be rekindelled with it soon.

I've been playing this one alot recently: Tom Browne - Funkin' For Jamica. I f***ing love this song. Here's a few more: Funkadelic - One Nation Under a Groove The Gap Band - Opps Up Side Your Head Chic - Chic Cheer The Commodores - Brick House Earth Wind & Fire - Let's Groove They should keep you entertained for a while.

This isn't too bad: Awful Stingray tone though.

A tad bit OT but I really like what this guy has done with Toms Diner: I never get tired of this song.
Growly and aggressive to me is achieved with low action and digging in, a bit of clank, through a loud but clean amplifier.
You just described my whole set up in that one statement Ped!

My first real high end bass, a Spector Euro: It was much more nicer in the flesh, I'd love to have another go with it now, I'm even half tempted to see if the current owner is tiring of it.

Good: I can work out pretty much any song thrown at me, very confidently. I can slap, and do quite often behind closed doors. I can adapt to any kind of bass. I can happily hold a solid groove for a whole set. I can solo, not blazing fast Jaco esque-chops though and I'm glad I can't. I've got a good sense of rhythm, and I can lock in with any Drummer or to any beat. I've got consistent technique which I'm pretty proud of. I can most genres of music without a second thought. I'm very energetic in a live situation, when with the right musicians. I'm very open minded in writing situations and speak when spoken to. I can jam with other bassists very easily, if the other is competent. I can go all night long. I've got a back which isn't buggered. I can play in different tunings very happily. Bad: I'm quite opinionated. I can be very critical. I can read, I'm just very very slow at it. I don't like P-Basses, which apprently is a bad thing. I can walk but I'm never comfortable doing so. I can get bored very quickly. I play a full step down, which is a major no no with most guitarists....apparently. I play a 6 string, which is the sign of the Devil, if he existed. I don't like Clones.
...no, haven't tried the HT at all.... Kinda hoping I can stay lightweight .... but wondering if any neo stuff has what I'm after?... the Aguilar cabs I borrowed were pretty close & so were the SWR... but not very lightweight ... hopefully trying zoot, EBS & GK soon.....
I'd recommend EBS Neo's very highly Dave, if anything they sound pretty much the same as the Proline stuff, so if you ever wanted to you could pop down and try mine out .
I don't think anyone is that bad!
Trust me Beef some are, I've done some gigs when all Ive done is get it out of the case and gotten "Ohhh a Warwick, why don't you get a real bass?", I usually ask them if they've ever played one and the answer is mostly No and is the same answer when I offer them a go, and having my friend do the exact same thing was just really irritating, I've no problem with it if the person has a good reason, like you do, then I'm fine with it, it's just when they avoid a go on purpose in fear of maybe actually liking one that bugs me. I do not like Precision basses at all, but I've played at least 8 of them, Fender, Squier, Copies etc.. and still have never been impressed, I guess one day one may impress me enough but I'm not holding my breath, and thats the same for the guys who aren't fans of Warwick.
Why should I PM? It's hardly a trade secret that no-one can shift Warwicks in the UK at the mo. I should know as I have two Glad you picked yours up in a flightcase for £700 too - as you posted in another thread.
I've shifted 3 Warwicks in as many months, all for the right amount of money and have all gone smoothly, especially with Ben. And I've seen at least 4 other Wick's listed and gone within a day or 2 in the last month alone, so sorry but your statement doesn't hold any water.
