  1. For a Fender that blemish is nothing. I even have some on my Overwater and it doesn’t bother me one bit. For amps, P bass and 8x10 is a match made in heaven. If that’s a bit big I love the markbass 12” combo
  2. 😂 love it
  3. I really liked the look of this one and with the reputation these hold I bet it’s an incredible bass. Glad that someone on BC got it.
  4. “Now a collectors item”. Nope, still a mass produced bass
  5. Find a US Fender with a nice fit/ finish. Sound not to your taste, change the pickups. Hardware not to your taste, swap out the hardware. Fancy going active, put in a preamp. There’s a huge array of parts that will fit a fender P if you ever want to adapt it.
  6. Wife: you need to sell that old guitar. Bloke reluctantly puts on Facebook and blames a slow market for keeping it.
  7. Can I take my collection of bass books too? Might finally actually get through them on an island. edit: it can’t just be one bass either. I’ll need at least 5.
  8. He does say it’s a refin so not sure I would categorise it as low priced, even if it was through a dealer.
  9. If you’re truly interested you would ask for a phone number, talk to them, arrange a visit ect. Price is a bit steep for a private seller though
  10. The song is so so but the bass tone really made me sit up and notice. Perfect vintage Fender tone.
  11. These always sound killer on stage. Agree with you about swapping the chrome knobs for black
  12. Is that a flamed redwood top?
  13. Tort on blue looks a bit Union Jack. Lovely new bass there clarky
  14. There should be a warning on this post *not safe for Fender fans*
  15. Oh yes it certainly does
  16. Congrats! I hope you like practicing 8+ hours a day….
  17. I guessed he still had the premises. You’d need somewhere decent sized for that collection
  18. That’s an alembic
  19. I did yeh but I did the HnD first. ACM has bigger classes than ICMP and just want bums on seats so the process to get in wasn’t difficult. Three friends went to ICMP and two did very well. Depends what you want to get out of the course at the end of the day. I wish I could have gone to Berklee but I don’t think my life now would be much different if I had, except I’d be crippled by ridiculous debt.
  20. I couldn’t read bass clef before I went. Although it made learning the first performance piece a much harder experience as a result. Something to practice before you start.
  21. What was that thumpinator thing that everyone bought. Wasn’t it something to protect your amp. Went mad on here and never heard of it since
  22. Must admit I found these specials to be a real improvement on the older standard models. So much more oomph and warmth.
  23. Yeh those JMJ Mustangs seem popular at the moment although not on my radar
  24. Thankfully basschat saw sense and this didn’t catch on!
