Need to drop from line to mic level. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395585727027 may get you there (depending upon the real world tolerances of the Lekato input). Worth a try, if not, two in series will drop you to -40db which will get easily get you within the realms of mic level. (An attenuator (or in worse case, two) with minimal output on the aux send should get you there though.)

That said, if your monitoring solution works for you, all good. If your punters like your FoH mix, then great.
-
Before the world collapses over a mono/stereo debate... We hear in stereo. So even if you send a FoH mix in mono, you get all sorts of reflections from the room which your brain will naturally give you some sense of being in a room as your ears will not be hearing the true mono L/R from the FoH speaker by the time it hits your ears. Also worth noting its the given practice to mix mono FoH. Why? So wherever you stand in the venue, you get a better chance of hearing a better, more balanced mix. Why not mono direct into your ears then? Because you aren't introducing any stereo information at all and not even any sense of ambient stereo. Humans don't hear like that. Stereo in ears, despite FoH being mono, is the way to go to give you that more realistic spacial experience, making it easier to separate instruments.

Not many manufacturers do rehousing - and it's very unlikely you'll get that kind of turnaround.

I love my Kemper (https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/483747-kemper-powered-rack-flightcased-plus-foot-pedal-further-price-drop/) - it does it all - only selling as I've retired from the grind of gigging - I need a rest! If you're interested, I dont think you'll find a better example of kid gloved setup Ran it through my PA and used IEMs. Brilliant piece of kit - one of the coolest things I've ever bought. Different kettle of fish to the quad quartex and helix - maybe not as intuitive - but it's brilliant for all things bass and guitar. Highly recommended!

Aha! James - Russ here, didn’t spot you first time around but now you’ve added a pic. Go UE6 - and regarding acrylic and silicon, if the fit is right (which they should be if the moulds have been taken properly) acrylic is just as comfortable.

Botox and Fillers (would you) audition related
EBS_freak replied to police squad's topic in General Discussion
Have they decided on the new member yet... or are they still making their minds up? -
I didn't notice - I was too busy trying to pull focus - but I suspect this was so he could hear the crowd for the call and response which was planned from the word go. Not defending him - but It wasn't loud on stage - it was pretty massive and nothing was cranked.
-
Not me but I got a call for camera duties for this one… (we help each other out for the bigger gigs) and making something out of nothing audiowise. The sound man seemed to like dubious vocal fx.
-
The problem with wireless bugs... is that they look pants in pictures. Have a lovely looking vintage guitar... with a bit of plastic tat hanging out of it, hence the case is quite a cool alternative.

Here you go -

A nut and bolt? there be chipped finishes ahoy!

You see, this is the biggest win isn't it? Lots of people think IEMs are for large stages... you've just highlight the exact reason why they are suitable for all.

Botox and Fillers (would you) audition related

Each to their own, your body, you do what you want. My personal view, is not everybody has the privilege of growing old - so I'm planning on wearing ever sag and sign of ageing with pride! (assuming I'm not sporting that many at the moment!) OP - I do hope you get the audition though - although I do hope for the sake of humanity it's not down to the botox and fillers! -
Talking of the horns, even got an acknowledgement from Mr Niles himself in the comments -

It's a good shakeup of Breakout - although Corinne and Andy however, apparently are not fans of it...? I love that version of Breakout - I even did a lock down cover of it with a group of friends which for a short while, did quite well on the old Youtube (in terms of views)... and then just stalled.

Hey, I think you missed the joke. And - actually, it is hard. If it isn't hard, why are you here asking the question? The point is, everybody hears differently and everybody has different needs, so when you ask what is the best, you'll get a whole multitude of answers. I offer up my "starter" IEM setup as it will give people a good first experience where I know it will work for most people and give them something to build on. In regard to other options... well... some people will complain inears have too much low end, not enough low end, too much mid range... and of course all this can change. If you are a reggae nut for example, you may want an IEM that naturally puts out a load of low end with no EQing. Other folk may hate that. The reference you missed with regard to cameras... is that the similar question is similarly asked. "Whats the best lens?"... the answer to that, like what IEMs and the user is looking to get out them, is the lens which can be wide enough for landscapes, or short focusing enough for macro, or telephoto enough for peeping tom shots. Such a lens which can do all that and suit everybody's needs just doesn't exist. Not only was I not responding to you directly, I was not being childish as Dave will understand (from his camera hobby) about the lens question - but if you think it's childish, so be it. Anyway, if I never provide any more input into IEMs ever again, I think I've done my bit.

May be worth taking the required cables from your mixer to theirs with you in preparation, just in case nobody has the additional cables in their kitbag.
-
What digital mixer have you got? You can just set up each channel you want to pass through on prefader aux - assuming you have enough auxes available. Y cables are OK - but dont go there if there is any phantom power in play. Remember some analogue desks dont have phantom power per channel... it's either on or off for the whole mixer.
