1.
Some interesting uneducated reply's on the looks of the bass. I would say you need to play one before you judge it.
What an odd comment indeed... would you drive this before you judged it? The looks of something has to be at least a little appealing...
 2.
Whatever it is its coming straight out the box and into a 2 hour set for my first time on a fiver, wish me luck...
'tis the only way!
 3.
The thread wasn't about the song!
I'm glad that somebody else is on the same wavelength. Quite literally slapping (pun intended) the guy in the OP down is not appropriate.
 4.
Oh no! Why did this have to turn into yet another I love/I hate Mark King thread. Can't we all just accept that there are two camps and be done with it. How about a fanboy starting a 'I LOVE MARK KING' thread and then those that do can indulge themselves and those that don't can, with a huge amount of self-discipline, ignore it.
I know. You can't knock Mark King as he is an exceptionally talented bloke... but as with most things, there is a time and a place. This wasn't it.
 5. No love for MK in this thread...? And quite rightly too. It was all about the video in the OP. Tsk. Some people should be ashamed of themselves.
 6.
Pete Roscoe will be too much money but I do like them so one day you never know but right now it might just be a big 34" thumb rest!
35" !
 7.
Pete-I'm doing the panto in Lichfield until January 9th,so if you ever want to pop over and ask questions, give me a shout.
Garrick action. Afterall this time in Lichfiled, you know, I've never been to a panto at the Garrick...!
 8.
Hi just tried bass at Bassmerchants in colchester Darren has same model in stock and it is evrey bit as good as I expected it to be build quality superb and plays like a dream (at least to me!!) and he wants £1990 for it.
Not £250 ??
 9. I don't suppose anybody has a sample output from Finale they could post could they?
 10. BBNE2. And yes, I did have one. In black... and wish I still had it. However, this man is currently looking after my signature bass...
 11. Been through a fair few progs to be honest and I know what you mean, there is always a slant. I was a long time Logic user but then I switched to Cubase... for no particular reason... and then I've been using tuxguitar as it's free. Whilst it's good for getting a scrapbook of stuff together, it's nowhere near the league of the big hitters - especially on the printing front, hence the interest in getting the scores looking good. Historically, I would have been looking at Finale for the big scores (dabbled a fair bit with big band scores about 5 or 6 years ago) but now I'm now into my solo arrangements and getting a good looking print out for when I go senile and can't remember how to play them! Hmm, I shall see if I can test drive a copy of both and see how I get on. When dropping that much, you don't want to get it wrong!
 12. What are the pros and cons, what are you guys using... and why?
 13.
Sibelius
Been looking at Finale 2011 and Sibelius 6. What are the pros and cons... sorry for derailing the thread a little, you reckon I should start a new one.... in fact, I shall...
 14. Excellent again Simon. Must start transferring all my paper written stuff into some new falngled computer thing. What you guys feeling? Sibelius or Finale?
 15.
Thats going to be a interesting thread. Seeing as how the whole X factor/judges etc are all hated by many on here.
Indeed. Get the popcorn out for that one.

 18.
I still dont see the connection with Ellie...
Ellie is going to be/has writing songs for Cheryl Cole according to the internet bumpf. There's my connection with Ellie to X Factor. Have to say, went to Ellie's concert in Brum and thoroughly enjoyed it
 19.
The ones who lose out are the manufacturers who don't offer courtesy amps - I'm sure a few of them will follow suit if this is successful for MB.
Depends if the MB ones go walkabouts! Good on Mark Bass for showing some business initiative though! They've certainly reinvented themselves since they went all yellow and black!
