Just been through the live stream. Pretty decent that. Interested in what cameras are in use as they are pretty good for ambient light levels.

100% - I think that online videos are defo the way to go now if you are going to be learning by yourself... but also want something physical for him to open on Christmas day. This JustinGuitar stuff looks quite good... I'm also hoping that my nephew takes to it and my bro goes down the 1 on 1 tutor route if it's not just a passing fad.

Hi hive... I'm looking for a guitar book for my 8 year nephew who is getting his first acoustic guitar for Christmas. I've found him a funky as strap... and now looking for a book - but have absolutely no idea what I should be getting. I learned guitar through the full scores Beatles white book... however I don't think that will work for him as my bro has not introduced him to the delights of The Beatles. My nephew is more a die hard Ed Sheeran fan anyway... hence the acoustic want over an electric. So... any recommendations? Many thanks in advance....

Just a bit. We're talking at least a couple of thousand pounds a channel. Interesting choice of frequencies though (if you know, you know) -

Make sure you routing is set up to go out through the main outputs. (configured in system if my memory serves me correct - I'm not with my Kemper - press output button, then it appears on screen (Main output?) and twiddle the knob which lines up with it).
-
Kemper for bass, I always prefer using mic pres. That's where I think basses can really be made to sing. Like you, I don't really like cab models for basses.
-
After they've finished... "was that hard to play? because it was hard to listen to."
-
Wonder what the routing is. Bypassing the Markbass pre and just using the poweramp?

Now £1250 Due to me not running bands anymore, I'm shifting a load of my personal PA gear. All my stuff is currently in storage but will be pulling it out to photograph and update the posts. Now with pics! Mackie DL32R + Apple Airport Extreme + Amptown Cases flightcase (highend cases, 3u, custom made to exact dimensions). Everything is neatly racked, with a single powercon and network connections on D series connectors mounted on a rear rackpanel - £1500 each. Manufacturer info here - https://mackie.com/en/products/mixers/dl-series/dl32r.html There is still one for sale. Very clean condition and like all my gear, completely treated with kid gloves. Check out my other listings for PA stuff!

Exactly. When you consider how deaf the people that Jerry monitors for, it all begins to make sense.

I don't think you can reliably measure. With tips, fit is so changeable, I think it's just a case of buying a load and trying them to see which works best for you. For example, if you see yourself as a M in one brand, you may get better results with a S in another (due to lying and sealing deeper in the ear).

If you are keen… https://headlinermagazine.net/jh-audio-jerry-harvey-interview-new-pearl-processor-ruby-iem.html

Get the players that enable to do that then. The punters won’t know care if you have virtuoso players or not.
-
Got red flags all over it. You'll find the best players are the flakiest. If you want to get gigging, find the players that want to do that and driven to do it (not just say they are keen do it). Choose the songs to maximise on the abilities of the players, not necessarily the songs that you'd want to do - but you can get sounding tight. The audience rarely know the difference between good players and great players anyway. Best to have a band that is rehearsed and reliable - rather than a band that is always thrown together with deps, or where you are cancelling all the time because of availability. Of course, I don't know if you want to play for money, or purely for enjoyment. If it's the latter, it can be more difficult if you aren't vibeing as much off your band members playing.
