1. I'm really digging the low B on my thumb at the mo, funny thing is I've got 4 passive Fenders in the side lines due to it at the mo !
2. I thought I'd get a reply from yourself !! Yeah it is really odd isn't it. It's not quite a streamer in body shape, has a streamer control layout but with thumb headstock etc, maybe a one-off prototype, I did hear that the first thumbs did indeed have a shorter top horn, whatever it is the asking price seems good for such a rare beast as I doubt there is another one like it !!
3. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item232beae984 Never seen one like that before. I did read somewhere that Thumbs were cut down streamers initially, is this one a 'not cut down' so much one . If it is genuine then it's certainly a piece of history and worth the asking price, however I am interested to know any history of this particular bass, anyone fill me in on this one?
4. I had to clean out the neck pocket on mine (over spary build up etc) to help with the alignment. Overall these basses do sound great but they could be finished a bit better regarding quality control, and I'm not talking about the soft roadworn finish!

10. Just bought a BT2 off Chris, good price, very quick and well packaged delivery and as described, trustworthy BC'er, Cheers
11. Mmm, I'd ultimately like to have 2 basses, a fretted and fretless but I own 5 at the moment! Wasn't really a P bass man until recently so I needed it's fretless partner, so those two have joined the fretted and fretless Jazzes. Somehow I also managed to acquire a Thumb NT 5 along the way, hopefully that'll go soon but it's been a bit of a merry go round with basses, and really only after I joined BC !!

14. Well for starters a good teacher will be able to pick up on improper technique, any bad habits you might have developed and hopefully see any gaps in your knowledge etc. Well that was my experience when I started to have lessons

16. Hi folks, Just bought a Badass II from Terry. Great communication and posted it using Special Delivery as well , Cheers Terry.
17. Yeah, thanks for you comment and there is always that possibility isn't there. I've got a BadAss II to potentially put on it, not too sure if it'll cover the holes that are there already. Also not too sure how the intonation is going to be with the saddles set that far back!! It's been collected from the seller for me but I get my mitts on it in a couple of weeks! I'll just take it all apart and see what I'm playing with
18. Hi folks, Just got a P bass off the net and it's come with this bridge , the bass has a Fender P late 70's fretless neck and the body is a P bass copy from a shop called Machinehead, I believe in the mid 80's. As far as I know the guy bought the bass from them already built up into a bitsa and has left it alone since, so I'm presuming the bridge is from this era as well. It also came with a Dimarzio (type anyhow) pickup! Any hints or clues would be greatly appreciated, Cheers
19.
That is one desirable piece of kit. . Love the pup layout. Problem is i dont have the money. Spirit is willing but the wallet is weak.
love it type bump
20. Hi there Tezza-j, If it's a factory grooved one in chrome/nickle (ie came off a Marcus Miller, Geddy Lee etc) for a jazz I'll have it please. However as above, photos would help
21. Mmm, maybe if the neck does resemble a banana then trying to get the truss rod out isn't going to happen very easily, hence the price!! If you could knock him down a bit more and then get is sorted it might work out ok, however I'm not doing it
