  3. Hey all, Just bought John's Seymour Duncan Studio Bass compressor pedal. Great comms, well packaged and as per photos. Sounds great and easy to use. Thanks.
  4. …. Ped it was the brand Aclam you were probably thinking of 👍🏼 https://www.aclamguitars.com/
  5. … you have a gap, have you decided what can go there yet 😁.
  6. …. the older Genz Benz Streamliner series are hybrids with a valve driven Class A front end into a Class D Power Amplifier. They seem to have a good rep.
  7. … I really bought it so I could turn the DC7 on and off at source. I think to help with the strain relief more I’d need another cable tie and mount lol 😝
  8. … yet another board finished. A Nano Max this time, very basic but should be useable I think. I’ve gone for less cable tie mounts than usual as it gets too laborious when you inevitably change things up ha ha 😁
  9. … is that a Classic 2 board you have there?
  10. …. I also compared the EHX Eddy to a mate’s MXR Chorus Deluxe last Saturday and apart from the cross over switch I personally preferred the sound of the EHX Eddy. The MXR sounds more inline with the VFE Choral Reef, more clinical compared to the ‘Lushness’ of the Eddy. Maybe in a mix the crispness may help cut through though.
  11. I just picked up an EHX Eddy and it is seriously lush sounding. I also have a VFE Choral Reef and a EQD Seamachine clone to compare to and the Eddy is only £89 new (it is built to a cost) but digitally controlled fully analogue signal path beauty of a pedal. Well worth checking out (and there is bass in spades).
  12. …. as there are so many effects out there anyhow I just set myself some parameters for my current builds of analogue. Been playing ages but not ever into effects, until the first lockdown, now I have a few boards and a fair bit lighter in the wallet 😳! I did have a Stomp but wasn’t the direction I wanted to go in at the time. However it was great and would have been very practical for gigs etc. I’ll probably get another similar type thing when the Medivac eventually finds the hill I’ve been left on he he 😁
  13. …. I nearly went for it but after asking for more info it wouldn’t have been quite what I was after. I’m sure it’ll be a great tone shaper though 👍🏼
  14. Hey all, I recently bought a Le Bass Preamp off Andy. Due to unforeseen circumstances I ended up sending it back, however Andy has been a complete gent in the whole process. Quick delivery, item well packaged, great comms and even paid for the return postage. A true BCer who I would definitely deal with again. Peace.
  15. … and finally this Classic JR for the Soul/Funk/ Motown stuff I also will hopefully get back to soon 👍🏼:
  16. ..then this one for my church stuff : .. the Beta is a lovely pedal, should be great when using IEMs.
  17. Hey all, I’ve had a Pedaltrain Nano Max for while but no managed to decide what to put on it. I’ve finally come to this: … I guess we’ll see how long it stays like that ha ha!!
  18. Hey all, Recently acquired a Le Bass Preamp off here and overall it sounds great when used in a specific manner. When I only use headphones and the original PSU there is a pretty awful earth hum when I’m not touching the strings. If I swap the PSU to a Cioks DC7 or use the output into my amp head all is quiet. It seems like the unit needs to find a decent earth, either via me when touching metal parts of the bass, or via an earthed PSU or amp head. I’ve done some reading on this thread and it seems I’m not the only one that has has this type of thing. Any suggestions (apart from NOT using the original PSU lol) Peace.
  19. … sounds great in the videos with the sequencer 👍🏼 GLWTS
