1. im after one but need to move my OBC115 on first, got it on here for sale or trade
 2.
Nice one , how does it compare to your other shorties? Liking the choice of guard, maybe I should get a vintage blond for mine?
The first thing you notice is the weight, its a lot hevier than any of my other bases. The neck also feels a lot chunkier, and fret spacing is not as comftable as my 30.5" scales. I keep meaning to check it against a P neck coz it feels just like my old Mike Dirnt's neck. To be honest bought it as much on looks as sound. I do love the tone of that big humbucker though. I have a few more mods planed for the future. Guna change the bridge and mod to strung through the body (its a tele so it should be strung through) the J pick-up is a bit weaker than the humbucker so might try somthing a bit hotter. also some more cosmetic stuff, bridge controle plate and knobs in black chrome should see it done. I did consider fitting a third pickup (the single coil type in the other model) but having tryed one a few weeks ago im not guna bother coz it was no match for the tone of the speical. Intrestingly i tryed the new pawn shop Mustang the other day, it has the humbucker too. Sounded wicked and will be my next purchase. as for pick-guards ? thats a hard one. black on blond looks good, a pearl would bling it up. a white pearl mite look good, It dose on the new oly white pawn shop mustang. My fender jag (in oly white) looks good with its tort guard mabe try n get some photos of difrent types print samples out n put them next to your bass? worth noting i made my own coz i couldnt find anyone selling them though. Im to tight to pay 50 plus for a custom job lol. You will notice all my basses have matching pick-guards :-)

 8.
Anyone compared this to the Mikey Way Squier? It's got a decent humbucker. Would be interested to hear if the pawn shop version is worth the extra cash?
I have a Mikey way squier, i got it more for the way it looked than any other reason. It was ok out the box but not great. Pickup was weak, tone controle terible and a lot of fret buz. After a few tweaks on the nut and a general tighten up of most of the screws i had it feeling realy nice. i have modded it a bit now, EMG pickup and pots black nylon tape wound strings, a black pearl pick guard (made by me) and fender jaz bass controle knobs. All told it has cost me about £360 and i apsolutly love it now. It plays IMHO as good if not beter than any MIJ mustang ive tryed, the only thing on the fender that is any better is the finish of the neck but that is purly visual (gloss finish as aposed to mat finish on the squier) . I have been and tryed the new pawn shop mustang too (im curently saving up for one) spent 2 hours in andertons in guilford trying lots of basses inc a couple of gibsons american and mex fenders . non of them came close to the pawnshop for finish feel and tone. so to sum up i would say the MW squier is nice, sort it n mod it then its as good as any MIJ and with the rite pickup better tone too. (and i would be happy for anyone to a/b mine against an mij) SOME PICS http://www.flickr.com/photos/stevefn/8501201218/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/stevefn/8500112503/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/stevefn/8500118397/in/photostream/
 9. hi dude I was offered a Matamp 6x10 by brabasam last week as a trade for my OBC115 cab. mite be worth you giving him a shout n see if hes intrested in your cabs. hope this link to him works http://basschat.co.uk/user/23118-brabasam/
 10.
How are you finding the MW Mustang? Very interested in picking one up! Alex
I realy like playing this bass, in original trim the pickup was weak n the tone controle was more like an extra volume, just killed it. had a lot of fret buz but a couple a twaks n that was sorted. fit n finish are spot on, flawless paint work n adding the black pearl pick guard has improved the looks even more. At the price i would say they are good value, with a few mods its better than any of the std MIJs ive tryed IMHO. neck is very smooth and fast (but i do prefer the finish of the MIJ neck) cost wise 235 for bass 85 for emg 30 for the tape wound strings 10 for a set of fender jaz control knobs and 17 for a sheet of black pearl (made three pick guards from that !) so for just over 360 i see it as a bargin. Half the price of an MIJ and looks nicer too. Just a note to anyone thinking about getting Black nylon tape wound strings (or any strings for a mustang) i recomend getting 32" scale strings to allow for the strung through body, most 30.5" short scale strings are to short ! (i use these http://www.daddario....5__Medium_Scale ) pics http://www.flickr.com/photos/stevefn/8500112503/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/stevefn/8501225084/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/stevefn/8501201218/in/photostream/

 18. hi lancer i run my BH250 into a TC electronics RS112 very small foot print and realy good sound, but not a cheap cab. i also have an Orange OBC115 and it sounds very good through that too. Stacked together the sound is massive. I did try the BH250 into the 10" mibass cab a couple a weeks ago n thought it sounded a bit thin and lacking somthing (not quiet shaw what though) Personaly id say go for a single 12" cab at 8ohms so you can add to it later. Defenitly take your head and your bass when you go to try one out though. I am thinking of getting rid of one of my cabs at mo so i can end up with a matched pair but cant decide wich should go as i like em both. Anyway good luck with your serch n if your ever down bournemouth way give me a shout, your welcome to try mine.
