    I flit between buying a special like above or just a 200 quid OLP/SUB I need the tone in my life. Had a classic but couldn't get on with it. guy looks like hes in a hostage scenario but playing is cool.

    Ander, can I ask where you bought your specials? Looks like there's no real saving getting in US after tax etc. Just looked in Rudys music NYC and special was working out over £1500 stg oh well.

    Cheers for this, finny how close the L2000 looks to the Wal. After listening to loads of kiloton/stingray comparison videos, pickup placement plays a massive part in the overall tone.

    I asked on another thread but ray vs bongos, how different are they tonally? I'm guessing the bongo is more hi fi and versatile with eq?

    Awesome player. Guys, how does the bongo compare to a stingray tonally? Always been interested if it has that sparkly top end that makes slapping so fun

    Cheers man. Yeah heard the Flea is like a more mellow Stingray. Might be optical illusion but pickup looks slightly closer to neck than a ray. Enjoy both
