Ive been looking for a while at monster cables, been recommednded to me by a couple of friends but the price is a bit of a put off, £88 for a lead!!!!!!!!!!!http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/Catalogue/default.aspx?categoryId=250 They seem to be a lot cheaper stateside but still at a very high price for cables, was just wondering if anyone had any experience with them and whether/how they justified the price
Excellent Stuff Stuart - I will be buying this book, and if it is as well laid out and presented as your slap book, you are onto a winner!
+1 will too And if I start practicing my tap tapping now I might be just about ready by the time it comes out!
13. 989/ 984?? hmm nice bass but im guessing the one sold by basscentre would include a hardcase so you'd be paying a fiver more for a non cracked hardcase and a new bass very nice bass though

17. Very true burpster Ill have a look for one in the next few days, and if it plays like a dream I shouldnt think a nikki six asociation would make a whole lot of difference
18. that washburn would be perfect if it wasn't for the fingerboard
19. thanks burpster but I have a rather deep and passoinate hatred for motley crue so im not sure I could bring myself to use an instrument asociated with nikki, cheers anyway
20. Ive searched far and wide for an acoustic bass that you can slap, i mean obviously you CAN slap any bass but I mean one that you'd actually want to. Both feel - wise and tone - wise. Don't know if this is just me but I always find the soundhole gets in the way of where i'd normally rest my right hand, which is why i was thinking of something like warwick alien with a crazy soundhole. I think the fender vic bailey is supposed to have a good slap sound, hmmmmm. Well I was just wondering if anyone had ever owned an acoustic bass they liked for slap stuff so they could point me in the right direction. Anyone??????
21. wow you pimped your bass! good luck with the sale its not my cup of tea but I bet someone is gonna look like one funky mother wearing that on stage
22. that's the crazyest inlay ive ever seen and +1 on the buckeye
23. My first was an Axe 4 string p/jazz copy, I had no finger strength because id just started playing and the neck was so warped that I couldn't actually push the string to the board beyond the 12th fret. One of the bushings on the machinheads literally fell off the second day I had it so I played it with 3 strings and it had no backplate so the electronics hung out the back. it only had one knob with numbers literally painted on it but they weren't even so you couldnt really tell what was going on. And that SOUND well lets just say ill never hear anything like it again, what a bass
24. the tell me baby slap line one of the least imaginative slap lines ever by one of the kings of slap
