1. I used some Danish oil on my last bass its pretty easy to get hold of (Do it all, B nd Q) takes ages but the finish is worth it, I could be wrong but I think Warwick use tung oil. Anyway the finish on my Warwick is lovely so I can at least recommend the end result
2. Very nice bass, im a few quid short at the mo (about 730) but have a bump on me
3. hmmm thats tempting, gonna check the old bank balance
4. hmmmm i need to switch to a 6 in the coming months, it might be worth giving it some more time, anyone got any tips for improving finger speed as im about a third of the speed of my normal technique at the mo
5. I just saw this a couple of days ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPVMBPmrblU been trying my best but I cant seem to get along with it. Anyone out there actually use this method??
6. cheers just saw this and started playing around with them, much fun
7. What was the name of that bass fender released a couple of years back??? It had a mahogony body, natural finish and a thru neck if my memory serves me correctly. I played one in a shop for hours as I admired them for trying to break away form the same instruments they've been making for the past 60 years, unfortunatly it was pretty awful. Might have just been a bad example. Hmmmmm was it called the Zone bass? I like the fender sound but I do feel its a bit cheeky to realese "ltd edition" basses that are made of the exact same parts as a US standard apart from the pickups. Anyway I suppose Fenders' whole ideology is "If it aint broke"
8. bought it recently myself, I still think its a bit cheeky to put an album out with four tracks of the same song, two being false starts. But I agree on the quality and its only a fiver new on amazon so you cant really complain
9. nooooooooooo i was up in luton yeaterday and i could have stopped off in london
10. just got myself a RIM bass and ive got to say its one of the nicest basses ive ever seen or heard of let alone played or owned!!! Saw your bass personally yesterday alex and ive got to say you are one lucky man ^_^

12. very very nice bass, I hope you don't mind me asking but what made you pick sei ahead of say another jeff chapman, your fretless is amazing. Was it down to specific tonal needs or were you just after something that looked a bit different?
13. I remember seeing eubassix's marleaux-pagelli on his avatar when i first joined bassworld and its still the nicest looking bass ive ever seen! Anyone know if he sold it to another BW'er or BC'er. If I start saving now I may be able to afford it in a couple of years
14. damn thats nice, i saw that in the bass porn section and hoped you might move it on, but alas no avialable cash and nothing to trade
15. Jaco relic fretless or Dood's 7 stringer
16. My band played joe's well in leeds about a year ago and the keyboard player from the kiezer chiefs was there. He told all the bands he'd go check them out and then spent the whole night in the pool room with his mates. I wasnt too fussed as ive always thought his band were bloody awful but a little indie kid from one of the other bands looked really beat up about it. So I went over to him and said i thought it wasnt really on and he shouldnt say stuff liike that if he knew he wasnt going to do it. His excuse was that he didnt have the £3 it cost to get in to see the bands. When I pointed out that his band had just had three sucessive top ten hits and an arena tour of europe and also that he was actually holding a 20 pound note in his left hand, he mumbled something then one of his mates told me to f*** off. Also met the singer from the kiezer chiefs seperatly but that wasnt at a gig and was before they got big.Plus I accidentally nearly pushed matt bellamy down some stairs once but that was in a music shop
17. Just got his latest album Alkimia in the post today and its currently on its 3rd listen. Amazing tone and probably the most musical use of solo bass techniques ive ever heard. Just wanted to say thanks to urb as I discovered Franc through his website oooh and anyone wanting to check him out there are tracks on his myspace
