NOW SOLD ELSEWHERE Up for sale is my fabulous Japanese Fender Precision Bass in beautiful 3-tone sunburst. The bass plays, looks and sounds wonderful and will be missed however arthritis is taking its toll so stuff is being sold off. The rosewood fingerboard is a lovely dark colour with beautiful figuring and has been regularly cleaned a treated with lemon oil to preserve its condition. The bass is In very good condition all round for a 38-year old instrument with just a little mojo in the form of a some light buckle rash and one or two minor dings (see pictures). The frets are in good condition and have recently been dressed. The dark Rosewood board has been oiled. The tuners all work smoothly and the electrics work perfectly with no noise, the pots having recently been treated with Servisol. The bass comes a good quality gig bag. I also have a pickup cover that came with the bass. All in all it’s a superb bass in the best colour combo with a full set up with plenty of life left in the frets. It weighs 3.9kg. As always collection or meet up is preferred, but I would consider a courier if necessary. If you have any questions please ask, or if you would like any more pictures.

For sale is my Highway One (not to be confused with the Highway 1) Jazz bass. This series is the mid life upgrade of the Highway 1 series that include a nitro finish, BadAss II, ‘70s logo etc. The bass is in good condition with hardly any fret wear and the nitro finish has started to wear in and shine up a little on the back and the slanty bit where your forearm typically rubs. There is one mark on the lower side of the upper horn. It's approx 15mm long and has left a smooth but shallow indentation and I have priced the bass accordingly. Please see the pics. I have the original Grease Bucket circuit that will be included in the sale along with a spare, and so far unused, BWB scratch plate that I acquired from Armstrong Music. This particular example weighs 4kgs (or 8lbs 13oz in old money) on my digital scales. The bass will come with a decent quality gig bag. I’d much prefer to meet up somewhere in person to exchange the bass, or deliver if it’s not too far. A courier would be a last resort. Pretty much what it says in the title good peeps of BC world. I believe this pickups come from the Fender US Mike Dirnt basses and are not generally available as accessories to purchase. You will notice that I have repaired the ground wire as I thought that the previous owner's effort was sub-standard. Price includes postage to UK mainland. Anyway pics below. Thanks for looking.

Due to arthritis really starting to affect my hands I am selling off pretty much all my basses. It now falls to me to sell my Jet basses. Both the J and this one, the P bass, are really nice instruments with some really high-grade features for their price point. I have to say that the neck on this bass is an absolute delight to move around on. The full spec is below. The bass comes with a new Fender gig bag, and this one weighs a very playable 3.6kgs. The upgrades that I have made are as follows: · Full copper foil shielding · Good quality loom I’d say the colour is very similar to the Sherwood Green that Fender has. The bass is in very good condition having been used at home for practice and I will be immensely sad to see it go. The bass will come with the original split coil pickup fitted. They did indeed. The front is pretty good too but the p/g obscures most of it. I'd like to think that this being one of the very early ones, that extra care was taken. Who knows...

NOW TRADED Here's the next one in the great arthritis-induced bass sell off. Your chance to bear the burden of ownership of a lovely Squier Vintage Modified Precision Bass TB - 3 Tone Sunburst as these basses only appear for sale occasionally. The serial number is from 2007/08 so that would make this bass one of the very early ones as these basses were only sold between 2008 and 1012. Solid old-school rock thump; think Fender 70s tele basses. The bass is currently strung with some well-worn in Thomastik TI Flats. The Ash top and back have particularly lovely grain that shows through the finish. The bass has benefitted from some quality upgrades: · The bridge is a 4-saddle item with brass saddles, possibly Wilkinson given the tuning machines fitted. Normal and through-body stringing are supported. · The tuners are Wilkinson long stem items. · I believe that the electronics have almost certainly been upgraded but I cannot 100% guarantee that · There is also a pickup surround that is not original and was on the bass when I acquired it. My old bass that started life as a simple ACG styled P bass but then I modded with a new pickup and switch. Cracking bass that I would have back in a heartbeat but for the increasing arthritis issues I have.
