1. Pete just acquired my Ymaha RY8. Super smooth transaction, real gent, deal with confidence.
2. I think in some ways the older 'traditional' brands that have not really moved with the times and/or their customers should take a good hard look at this. While I do not in any way endorse passing off (i.e. selling something as a Fender that isn't a Fender), the 'tribute' thing is different and Limelight very clearly say exactly what you are buying etc. How much more money could the likes of Fender have made if they had:

spotted and acted on a clear opportunity;
not taken the p*$$ on pricing; and
done something about the uneven QA (not part of this thread but worth saying).
It may be that the Limelight flame burns brightly and dies, but there is clearly a demand for this type of thing out there. If Fender don't pick it up others will.
3. What's my wife doing on your bass?
4. My YOB bass would be north of $20,000 so out of my league, therefore I probably fall into the first category. Not played one yet, but have been in discussion about price and spec. I'm not a massive Fender fan, but there is no doubting the iconic nature of designs so I guess that would be my motivation.
5. My CD just landed too, really enjoying what I've heard so far.
6. That is great value for what will be a great buy. Just bought an ACG FInn 'Jazz' bass otherwise this would be very much of interest.
7. Like that a lot (said proud owner of a Marvel Comics tie). Is it just old age and poor memory but wasn't there a Ritter Simpson's bass that I vaguely remember seeing few years back?
8.
Next rehearsal, get him to build and strip down his kit to a timer and see where he's going wrong and/or needs help. Hope this helps
Yeah, work study. We can then time all drummers and get a benchmark set up time for any piece of kit.
9. Great charity Sue Ryder, I do stuff for them in my spare time. Well done for trying.
10. ...and responded.
11. Yamaha RY8 Rhythm Programmer Up for sale is this Yamaha drum machine and practice tool that has a number of really useful features. It’s a few years old but is in very good condition having been well looked after. There is one small ‘dimple’ at the edge of the display which is the only physical fault I can find. The display itself is slightly dim but still readable and useable.
12. Bump for amended quantities following sales made. Thanks.
13. 4-way switch gone type bump.
14. Just sold a passive harness to Chris. Plenty of comms, quick payment, excellent to deal with. Many thanks.
15. Hi guys For sale a set of Dunlop Dual Design Straplocks set lightly used £12 posted. All fully functional and undamaged although I note that the screws do look a bit odd in the pic.
16.
Time for someone to start a separate waistcoat lunge shot thread methinks.
This should be legal requirement for bcers.
17. Persuaded Stephen to part with his ACG Graft Finn. Lovely bass, absolutely delighted with it. Stephen is also a top bloke and really easy to communicate with. He makes a mean cup of tea and also like Barefaced cabs and ACG basses. What's not to like people, deal in confidence.
18. Nice looking bass there.
19. For sale is the passive harness with 4-way switch from an ACG bass that is now active. This is the same 4-way switch as used by Dingwall and is a quality item. The set-up is Master vol / master tone / switch. I have currently and have had basses with two single coil pickups, two humbuckers and two split coils into this system and it works really well giving four very distinct tones. The switch settings are: Bridge only / both parallel / both series / neck only. Wiring diagram provided for the switch.
