1. Dave just acquired a fretless ACG bass from me. Excellent communications and prompt payment etc. A top bloke so deal with complete confidence. Pleasure doing business, many thanks.

ACG build

Here's a couple of tasters of my Standard J Type. Collecting on Friday.
3. Just a thought, but it might be helpful to say where you are based for BCers wanting to try the bass out. Not uninterested myself tbh.
4. Yes, absolutely disgraceful. I will have some new pics to share later on...
5. EB Super Slinkies now sold thanks.

And finally, here is the 'Ultimate Jazz Bass' (well for me at any rate)...
8.
....and one "you sound like that bloke from tool".
Are you sure that was what he/she said? Lovely bass in all seriousness. Will confess to lusting after an Uber spec ACG after playing the blue ART finish Recurve, like Eude said great the way every note is so well defined.
9. I confess to like sunburst, but really not keen on blue/green/red burst finishes.
10. I think the Yamaha is a BBN4. Decent basses GLWTS.
11. Sad indeed. I was at an audition for a blues band last night playing a couple of BB King songs and though how good they were.
12. Our bin men will only take our wheelie bin if I leave it within 7.2mm of where the lorry stops, keep the weight to less than 2.7kgs and leave brown envelopes with cash in discreetly taped to the outside. So for me courier deliveries left in the bin on the drive (which is actually quite sheltered by trees) are therefore OK as long as nobody sees them of course.
13. I'm very impressed with the RW Jazz I have recently acquired. I'm not a natural Fender person either so there is definitely something about them.
14. Thanks, I think I half heard a trailer but didn't catch the timing.
15. Are you sure that's a bass and not a harp?
16. I had an MIM P in midnight wine/parchment but never truly got on with preferring, as I still do, the 2 x single coil setup. Iconic bass though.
17. Absolutely agree good does not necessarily mean expensive. My most expensive bass is a custom ACG fretless that cost many, many hundred pounds less than a Fender custom shop jazz (for example). I will not be parting with it either
18. Parchment gets my vote.
19. Cheers guys. Looks like it got away as it was f/s at Rich Tone Music
20. Evening all. Can anybody advise whether the SSS Js have the longer bridge pickup (when compared to the neck one)? Thanks
21.
Here's a nice one too. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3f4bccea96 I had a sunburst one back in the '70s as my first bass. The fingerboard came unglued and fell off. Maybe I was just unlucky.
That looks like the one that started life at £350, same picture and wording etc.
22.
Especially when you read in the build thread "finishing starts tomorrow" and realise that doesn't mean "it'll be finished by tomorrow". Last week or so has consisted of me being really hopeful of 'that email' arriving.
I share you pain, my new ACG is in the same state, but Alan’s basses are immaculate and well worth the wait.
