[s]£950[/s] Now £900. Up for sale is my fantastic, lightweight, hard-to-find Genz Benz rig. I've used this rig for many function gigs over the last two years & it's never let me down in terms of performance or sound. The pure tone & variety of sounds available from the dual channel, 4 band active mid-sweepable EQ's & tone shape presets are astounding. It's capable of running anything from 375W @ 8 ohms to 1200W @ 2x 4 ohms. Currently runs at 600W with the supplied cabs. All well looked after & in great excellent condition apart from light scratching on the top of the amp & a bit to the foot switch, & minimal scratching & dinks to the tolex. Amp face & cab grills are pristine. Cabs owned from new. Amp & footswitch bought from a fellow Basschatter 12 months odd ago and is supplied with original box & all accompanying materials. Supplied with 2x speakons & IEC/kettle/whatever-we're-calling-them-this-week lead. Selling due to downsizing - a lightweight combo is the way forward for me for now! I'm in Cardiff, try outs welcome. Not really looking to ship at this point. Cheers for looking

You're a complete loser who has totally wasted 30 years of your life. Best to give up now & start doing something worthwhile with your life. Kidding of course. If you've enjoyed it, & you still do, you've done so much more than all those 'I wish I'd learned an instrument!' people we meet all the time. Keep on keepin' on I say!

Done. Is it a Sport Billy bag?
May I ask where you got the stand? Is it heavy? Does it fold down small? Thanks.
+1 Looking for something to replace my modified work platform thing. This looks like a Stagg but there's a couple of models out there & I've wondered how robust they are.

I've covered this song so many times that the thread title made me shudder. We don't do it now, even audiences are bored sh1tless by it. Not sure I can face watching the video so will take everyone's word that it's the bomb.

I like this set up because as I mentioned, it's just one extra cable on stage vs two (including power). Plus it's ideal for smaller stages.

I've just started taking my Zoom B3 out live after using it at home exclusively. I hate having loads of wires on stage so I put the B3 thru the fx loop on the FET channel of my Genz Shuttlemax, sit it on top of my rig & use the amp's footswitch to switch between the two channels for fx/clean. Only thing is, the B3 doesn't sound great in the loop. There was a thread on here just now saying why & it's totally correct. It's intended to go between guitar & amp. So, what are the options for a decent multi that sounds great in the loop? Or is this the nature of all multis?

What about grouping songs by artists? Been thinking of doing this, like our 3 Stevie Wonders followed by our 3 Michael Jacksons...anyone doing it that way?
James Brown and George Clinton are others who are essential listening for any aspiring funk players - rarely mentioned on this forum.
Amen to that my friend.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Onj1_BgQzI8 Miles wrote that in her honour, no less. Apparently she was knocking Hendrix off at the same time & is credited as opening Miles up to rock & funk, resulting in Btiches Brew etc.

Ooh you can't beat a bit of Betty, punk before punk & a whole lotta funk. Good call Blue. Here's another fantastic number, Larry Graham on bass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxKBnR_8LIM

Oh I do. They already know the lovely queen is a parasites & it's OK not to believe creation stories when they seem a little far-fetched. I don't think they're ready for the 'as soon as you're born, you're dying' thing yet tho bless em! Anyways, they start their bass lessons soon so may even be replacing their old man on here one day
We are all but chaff in the wind. The Pharaohs thought to have bought into immortality with their pyramids, most of which were pillaged by their successors. The fleeting 15 minutes afforded by Mr. Warhol have become less than 15 seconds, and reducing as I type. All is vanity, and in vain. The whole of mankind's existence is but a blink compared to the reign of the dinosaurs. They, too, probably thought they'd be around for a while. Make the most of your time here, whilst you're able; the clock is ticking down the seconds, there's less left than you think. ... ... and now even less. ... Tick - tock - tick - tock ...
Sweet! I'll read this word-for-word to my littluns after their bedtime story tonight. Gotta teach em to be positive eh

How could anyone possibly leave when there's new gear going up every day in the marketplace??
Bars and clubs are my bands core business. However, being based in "The City of Festivals" Milwaukee WI we get our share of good festival and fair business in the Summer months.
What made Milwaukee famous made a Blueser of me... I'll get me coat.
-
Never knew you were a bar band guy Blue Spot on tho with everything there, particularly having one person talk $$ & the fact that it's a business.

None of my lot would suggest going lower than £400 for mates rates unless they waived their fee. An 'event' show is not a pub gig for the good reasons mentioned already. I worry tho as it sounds like you're the lone voice of reason, so this could come up a lot.
Sounds just like Cardiff.
Haha not just me then!

Soooo many to choose from but Blackout from Heroes is one of his greatest hidden gems for me. Bowie in full poetic pomp over Murray & Davis' trashy, monstrous funk groove. Love it.
-
Just gutted. Absolutely love everything up to Let's Dance. Had to turn the radio off on my way into work, proper welling up at Starman. Didn't get on with Blackstar at first listen but given the circumstances will make efforts to listen afresh now. RIP Dave. Props to Visconti too for being a massive part of what became the legend.
I suffer from Piper Alpha GAS. That is where you monitor the normal musical GAS but are completely oblivious to the GAS leaking out in other areas (car, electronic gizmos, nights out) until it is far, far too late.
Haha - made me think of a new one. Red Adair - the missus (or significant other).
