Serious Question To Those Who Use A Full Stack
Salt on your Bass? replied to MindGoneBlank's topic in Amps and Cabs
Buy it. If it's a good deal you won't loose out and if you have space then it won't clutter. You can take it out when you fancy leave it when you don't. Massive rigs are cool. -
Ashdown. C'est tout. mag abm or cl. No smaller than 410 in my experience. Peg I find muddy

Wow, thats quite some thread about handle placement ...at least its stayed on topic :s I like the handle arrangement on mine. Top is great to wheel it around venues or stages, but can also be used to pick up the cab with a bit of consideration to where the centre of balance is for the cab. Side handles work well for general carrying either single or double handed IMO. Im using a BT2.

Hi All, Clearing some space etc as I've collected a bit of stuff recently. 575w of lovely bass tone. I had the amp serviced about 9 months ago and its never missed a beat in the couple of years I've owned it. Features include a great sounding, switchable valve channel in the front end, flexible EQ, sub harmonic, DI and effects loop. I also have a 2 channel Peavey footswitch - from memory (and I need to check) it serves valve channel, EQ, sub and mute, but I cant remember what combination for the two channel (i'll check). Heres a pic: Looking for £250 collected, open to offers. Based in Bedford and prefer collection but can meet within reasonable distance. PM me with any queries. Cheers

PRICE DROP to £400 Hi All, Sadly, after not having owned this long, I need to move it on as funds are limited at the moment. Its a 100w, all valve, vintage Burman amplifier. Hand built in the late 60's, this is a straight forward and awesome sounding amp. It has new power valves that I've run for only around 10-13 hours, has a new handle on the pre amp and has been recently serviced by Mr foxen from whom I purchased it. Its in good condition I'd say, not outstanding, but good. The chassis has bent a bit in the power section as I understand this is an early example of the amp and aluminium was used rather than steel in the later, 70s models. Quick overview: Pre-amp 2 instrument inputs, 2 gain controls for each input, bass, mid, treble, presence Pre-amp has a fitted connector to the power section which powers the pre. C.4kg Power section Shuguang 4 EL34B power valves Impedance plug for 4, 8 and 16 ohm operation Slave out to run as many additional slaves as you like Multi turn bias pot for biasing Cab out (jack) About 20" wide, circa 22kg I paid £450 for this. I can meet within 30 miles or so of Bedford and I also work out of Bisceter so can arrange something between there if you like. You're welcome to come round of course (Bedford) and try before you buy. May Post as well. Pics below, I'll aim to get some additional power section once i get it out the chassis (didn't have the right screwdriver just now!). Op, if your Amp is 2 ohm stable then you can run both 4 ohm cabs at the same time, if I've read your first post correctly. If it only runs to 4 ohms, then you can only run one, or revert to jiggery pokery

pedal board - in and out - small stages
Salt on your Bass? replied to Salt on your Bass?'s topic in Effects
Cheers ant. Sounds like a good plan. Cheers -
Last time I played a small stage I trod in my input lead to my pedal board pulling it out from the tuber and losing signal....twice! Git a small stage gig tomorrow night. Any tips on stopping yer lead coming out yer board? I normally jam my board under a monitor or out the way as far as possible. Gaffa tape? Run cable under my board? ...er.... Happen to anyone else? O.o
