  1. These are great instruments. Everything is top notch quality. Built to be played with function prioritised over fashion. It kicks out more signal than my active basses and the tone can be tailored anyway you need. These deliver where you need them too. There is nothing that needs to be improved.. they are bulletproof workhorses.
  2. The Sandberg logos are just transfers. Mine fell off also. I contacted them and they sent me a replacement free of charge.
  3. Yup.. I read all the above.. Thanks for the input. The side slinging option is interesting.. I don't know why I play better when I can see all the strings from the top. When practicing sitting down with the bass on my knee things go so much better. As soon as I stand up and loose sight of the strings I can miss notes.
  4. I have a problem with the beer gut. When I stand and play, the gut causes the bass to find a position where I can't see the fretboard. I could shorten the strap and play with the bass hanging under my chin but that is not the aesthetic that I am after. Apart from loosing weight, is there a solution to this? A fancy strap or something? Or a girdle...
  5. I have one of these. Excellent piece of kit.
  6. The letter 'S' of my Sandberg decal had gone missing from my headstock. Having not being able to find another one on the official webstore I contacted them to ascertain as to where I could buy a replacement. They sent me one in the post free of charge. Ta Chaps..
  7. I prefer the mk1 California shape personally.
  8. I received my dream bass from Martyn. Paid via bank transfer prior to delivery due to his feedback reputation. I forgot about the extra bank holidays due to the Queens extended throne sit, but Martyn went the extra mile to post it immediately so that I received it prior to the postal disruption. Most pleased! Thanks again Martyn.
  9. I had one of these. I recall that Tom Araya loved them. The preamp section is similar to the Billy Sheehan model IIrc.
  10. Before a full tour The Mission will play small venues as a band called " Bloodbrothers." The Sisters of Mercy will also do similar under the name. 'The near meth experience. "
  11. Bongos........ I always see peppa pig in the headstock and a toilet seat for the body.
  12. It's a Aria RS-800. As per Wayne Hussey - Sisters of Mercy era.. A few bits of lacquer failing but nothing disappointing for a early 1980s instrument..
  13. Right.. I have it in my possession... I'm just of to take a photo.. But.. It is not a bass.. And as promised it is niche.. I am prepared for this thread to go really quiet..... 😜
  14. Right.... I have taken a punt on something. I will let you know if it comes off. Its a bit niche though...
  15. There is a chap selling a Peavey patriot near me for £200 but the logo has been removed from the headstock.. This upsets me..
  16. I have £500 cash burning hole in my pocket. If I stick it in by bank account it will just be absorbed by bills and mundane stuff. Thus, I would like to invest this in a "future classic" preferably from early 1980s. I play on an 1980,'s tribute band so it would still be used from time to time, venue permitting. I think Matsumoku would be a way to go.. Any advice or thoughts will be kindly received..
  17. I now have a super 12..hopefully I will be able to use it at war volume soon.
