2. If you get it together let us know where you are playing. Love Robben Ford ... was playing his version of Badge today
 3. Having had no trade offers for the right combo, I have decided to offer the kit for sale. [s]LMII £325 Schroeder 1212L with cover £325[/s] BOTH NOW SOLD I am looking to sell or trade either my Schroeder 1212L[s] and LMII[/s]. A trade would have to be for a combo. This has more power than I need and I am looking for something more suitable. A 300W combo, 2 x10/12 or 1x15 would fit my current requirements. The Schroeder is 100% sound in structure. Aesthetically, there are a few marks on the top where my practice amp’s feet have stood and three minor scratches both 1cm in length next to the handles (2 on one side, one on the other) courtesy of the clasps on my guitar case – other than that there are no issues with the tolex. I can try and get detailed pictures of the blemishes if this helps a trade. I have a properly fitting third party cover which is part of any deal. It is the 8 ohm model. [s]The LMII is ‘as new’ without issues or blemishes. PAT tested in June 2010. [/s] [s]Pictures now attached (I have touched out the LMII serial no. for obvious reasons), but if you are reading this you should already have a good idea what they look like! [/s] Depending on the proposed trade there may need to be some cash to balance either way. I am located midway between Nottingham and Derby, close to the M1 J25. Due to my well founded distrust of couriers a ‘half way’ meet up and exchange is strongly preferred and I would be quite happy to travel out to meet 'half way' as far as Sheffield (north), Northampton (south), Stoke (west), Grantham (east). I am currently occasionally travelling on business in the North West and South West and may be able to arrange a mutually convenient meet up.
 4.
Nottingham-based, playing Notts/Derbys/Mansfield region, mostly weekends, aiming to do 3-4 pub gigs per month plus occasional private party. Material is all well-known classic rock / pop 60s/70s/80s - no obscure album tracks, we're a crowd pleasing act. Not slavish "sound-like-the-record" versions though, some creativity involved. Must have own gear and transport, and be prepared to put this band before any other musical side projects in order to be available for gigs. Other members are around 50 yrs old but good condition for year. Material is all fast paced energetic stuff, played at good semi-pro standard : Stones, Lizzy, Zep, etc. We are using deps now and are looking to fill this vacancy a.s.a.p. No timewasters, dreamers or unreliables; please check out the website and think about whether this is what you want to do before ringing : http://high-octane-rock.com/home
PM'd

 7. About time for a bump ....
 8. MXR dyna comp compressor pedal (M-102) - used but in in original box. £35 posted.
 9.
Now for sale, i think £360 is reasonable with Markbass bag+P&P - pics available on request.
Sounds a good price to me (but already got one).
 10. It always surprises me how a good picture can really enhance the item that is being sold. But it does. Long may you sell basses sir!
 11. Good luck with the sale, but on a purely selfish note .... hope it takes a few pictures to sell it
 12.
Never tried them but just found this: http://www.pharosparcel.com/QuoteAndBook/QuoteMe £26.39 to deliver my beast of a Trace 2x15" cab (80x80x40, 46kg) - don't really come much bigger unless its a 6 or 8x10"
I've used pharosparcel a couple of times - delivery and collection via UPS. Excellent service
 13.
Move the cab by a foot or a couple of feet away from nearby walls, or lift it onto a crate or something if you're on a hollow stage,
Small stages often mean it has to be close to a wall and limits flexibility, however the crate idea could be tried .... can anyone expand on this?
 14.
I did find that using the VCF seems to work really well at controlling the mids, plus it boosts the low end and, to my ears, makes the overall tone a bit deeper but smoother, with less boom.
I will try this ... thanks for the tip
 15.
Just another perspective. I own a pair of DB12's which I take as a pair to every gig and they sound phenomenal. However, due to the fact that I always take the 2 cabs out to 'every' gig (the sum of the two parts is much better than the whole) I do find myself hankering for a one box option and have seriously considered getting the 1212L on more than one occasion (the DB2x12 is just too big and heavy a single lift)... just petrified of losing that quality Aguilar DB tone! The grass is not always greener.
No easy answer then!
 16. Thanks for the feedback ... my mistake on the LMII ... just looked at the manual for the first time! I had been thinking about the Aguilar's as it seems a popular option. May need to start thinking about trading up.
 17. Having gigged my Schroeder 1212L a couple of times now I have mixed feelings. It is a great cab but probably does not suit my needs in terms of output - the places we mostly play are too small for it - I know I can turn my LMII down a bit but the cabinet does tend to boom a bit even at low volume. The other issue is that it is way too big for practice so I have to continue to use my bass cube, so I am doubling up. It does however suit my needs in terms of portability as I only have the back seat of a 4 door saloon car for transport (totally impractical but this was not an issue when I bought the car!). I am wondering if getting two 12"/15" cabinets would be a better solution for me. For practice and small gigs (pubs) I could use the one cabinet with the other available for larger venues. Any advice or personal experience of similar situations would be most appreciated. Particularly looking at what I might go for? I am aware that the LMII only has the one speaker output so two cabinets would need to be connected in series
 18.
Excellent that is great to know. Another glowing reason to use their gear.
+1 .... thanks for sharing this information
