1.
Now for sale, i think £360 is reasonable with Markbass bag+P&P - pics available on request.
Sounds a good price to me (but already got one).
2. It always surprises me how a good picture can really enhance the item that is being sold. But it does. Long may you sell basses sir!
3. Good luck with the sale, but on a purely selfish note .... hope it takes a few pictures to sell it
4.
Never tried them but just found this: http://www.pharosparcel.com/QuoteAndBook/QuoteMe £26.39 to deliver my beast of a Trace 2x15" cab (80x80x40, 46kg) - don't really come much bigger unless its a 6 or 8x10"
I've used pharosparcel a couple of times - delivery and collection via UPS. Excellent service
5.
Move the cab by a foot or a couple of feet away from nearby walls, or lift it onto a crate or something if you're on a hollow stage,
Small stages often mean it has to be close to a wall and limits flexibility, however the crate idea could be tried .... can anyone expand on this?
6.
I did find that using the VCF seems to work really well at controlling the mids, plus it boosts the low end and, to my ears, makes the overall tone a bit deeper but smoother, with less boom.
I will try this ... thanks for the tip
7.
Just another perspective. I own a pair of DB12's which I take as a pair to every gig and they sound phenomenal. However, due to the fact that I always take the 2 cabs out to 'every' gig (the sum of the two parts is much better than the whole) I do find myself hankering for a one box option and have seriously considered getting the 1212L on more than one occasion (the DB2x12 is just too big and heavy a single lift)... just petrified of losing that quality Aguilar DB tone! The grass is not always greener.
No easy answer then!
8. Thanks for the feedback ... my mistake on the LMII ... just looked at the manual for the first time! I had been thinking about the Aguilar's as it seems a popular option. May need to start thinking about trading up.
9. Having gigged my Schroeder 1212L a couple of times now I have mixed feelings. It is a great cab but probably does not suit my needs in terms of output - the places we mostly play are too small for it - I know I can turn my LMII down a bit but the cabinet does tend to boom a bit even at low volume. The other issue is that it is way too big for practice so I have to continue to use my bass cube, so I am doubling up. It does however suit my needs in terms of portability as I only have the back seat of a 4 door saloon car for transport (totally impractical but this was not an issue when I bought the car!). I am wondering if getting two 12"/15" cabinets would be a better solution for me. For practice and small gigs (pubs) I could use the one cabinet with the other available for larger venues. Any advice or personal experience of similar situations would be most appreciated. Particularly looking at what I might go for? I am aware that the LMII only has the one speaker output so two cabinets would need to be connected in series
10.
Excellent that is great to know. Another glowing reason to use their gear.
+1 .... thanks for sharing this information
11. Bought Steve's Blowtorch - he's a credit to BC and as others have said he is a pleasure to deal with. Prompt communications when putting the deal together and he went further he had to, to ensure the pedal got to me quickly. I would have no hesitation in recommending Steve if he has an item you want.

Uprising sound

I don't normally do pedals but I am looking for the Muse Uprising sound from my Ric 4003/LMII/Schroeder 1212L Anyone got thoughts on what sort of pedal can help me achieve this? I have been trawling through the site and got lots of good pedal advice and googling extensively so am guessing overdrive - but some personal feedback may be the best direct route to get ananswer. Muse forum suggests M181 Bass Blow Tourch, Harmonix Bass Big Muff. Also a guy on YouTube with Digitech Synth Wah + Muff
13. Gigging my newly acquired mapleglo 4003 for the first time this week end!
14.
I'm practically giving them away people !!
He is! (unfortunately I don't need one)
15. Go for it (please) ... a calendar would have pride of place in my study
16. This is an absolute steal at the price!
17. Bought Phil's Mapleglow Rickenbacker 4003. A really top man to deal with ... and a great bass player. Have no hestitation in dealing with Phil - he comes highly recommended and will not let you down.
18. Really interested in this ... are there any dings or imperfections I should know about before I check the bank balance? (I have to say all the pictures are stunning ... even though everyone else has ... superb marketing!) Thanks Peter
19.
Guitar? I don't see any guitars here...
point taken and post edited!
20. ooooooooooooooooohhhhh ... tempting ... and less than an hour away. Do I want another blue bass?
21. You are not alone! 70's prog Yes, Genesis (w. Peter Gabriel), ELP, King Crimson, et al. Still have the vinyl, still play it. Many musicians are alive and well and continue to play today
22. This just looks great value for the money ... shame I don't do sunburst ... but I was tempted with this one
23. So many basses I could fall in love with on at the moment ... have a bump on me ... I am sure it will go to a good home
