1. It is with a really heavy heart that I post this. Sadly it is time to say goodbye to my beloved G&L L2000. This was the first bass I gigged. I bought her from a guy in the States off Talkbass. Personal circumstances on the horizon and the imminent break up of my band mean I can't justify keeping two quality basses any longer. For pictures, see online Picasa album and the link to my gear porn post from my signature below. Any other angles or content, please just drop me a PM and I will be happy to oblige. As you can see the bass is in blue (but not the blueburst option) with a matching blue headstock. It is strung with GHS Bass Boomers. The only blemish is a small ding on the end of the headstock at the back - this is too small to photograph but you can feel it. It comes in a G&L case - note the case has a ding courtesy of US Airways in one corner. I have the certificate of authenticity etc.. I am looking for £725 shipped to a mainland UK address - if at all possible I will sort out delivery by hand with a reasonable meet up within 90 minutes of Nottngham/Derby. I will not ship outside the UK. Note this is a USA model not a Tribute so no silly offers out of respect please. A number of fellow local chatters have tried this wonderful bass and will testify to its quality

Quickly closed out a deal for my EHX Bassballs Nano with Martin this week. A smoother transaction I could not have wished for - great communication, prompt payment, quick follow up. Have no hesitation in dealing with him ... I could not recommend him highly enough. Also +1 for the Royal Mail who delivered a second class package next day (Saturday) - its a first, but worthy of praise!
4. Stephen bought my OC-2 ... great guy to deal with, terrific communication preserved throughout the deal. Would recommend with no hesitation
5. A1 condition, with box and instructions. Nice pedal - just doesn't give me the sound I am looking for. £37 posted.
6. Don't think anyone else has posted this .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YGc4zOqozo Could also apply to US Airways judging by the dink they put in my G&L case!
7. Really nice - just the sort of thing that appeals to me - shame I am spent up at the moment!
8. Boss OC-2 Octave Pedal, bought a few months ago from Shep (Pantherairsoft of this parish). Nothing wrong at all with the pedal other than showing signs of use - the odd scratch and mark etc.. Probably a bit overkill for me ... just wanted to try this esteemed pedal out. £60 plus £3.50 P&P.
9. Anyone got a good recommendation for cleaning products ... seems a bit like doing a good job on a car - products that do a good job on swirls etc., followed by a polish/wax. There are quite a lot of products on the market so some feedback on experiences would be great.

11. Got my Fender Jaguar this week after a few weeks of searching for a nice pre-loved one - its in great condition but none the less I feel the need to give it a clean up. Any tips here - particularly cleaning the fretboard which has the pearloid block inlays. I would normally use Lemon Oil.
12. I still don't think I'm ready but have been playing for 3 years with the same band. I guess a good knowledge of a wide range of music helps and a willingness to play things I wouldn't normally listen to. It also helps if you have all the gear. The man who showed me the way told me as long as you have a good sense of rhythm, can play roots, thirds and fifths you can get by - I guess he was right - but I am not sure how I would have managed without the internet and tabs to guide me. Just remember - there's nothing like playing live.

21. That is one nice looking bass ... shame about the extra string!
22. Seems great value to me ... just as well I don't do the colour ... or I would have thought about a return to Grantham
