Christ. This is quite something Artisan! What a deal! The Wenge necks on these are something else. I should know, Not only did I have one on a Cort C4LTD but I had one made to the same spec on a custom build not long after. Anyone who needs a new bass on a budget would be a fool for passing this up.
lol cheers for the plug. i have to agree about the neck it is sublime & now appears to be sold, must've been your wee plug
Seriously, £160 for this bass is an absolute steal. You're getting a hell of a lot of bang and bass for your buck. Great tone, great weight, lovely neck, comfortable to wear and play, and a great looker; over all it punches well above its weight. You'd be hard pressed to find a better bass at a nicer price.
hi,mega thanks for the plug. again you are so damn correct, this really is a fantastic bass & incredible value for such a low price, perhaps even the best value bass on here at the mo'?. i can't believe no ones ripped it from my grasp as yet,oh well.

damn & blast ! i'm having to sell this beautiful bass as i need to raise £1000.00 to cover the fees for arranging a new fixed rate mortgage. i did have the dosh put to one side but accidentally spent it on a Fender P bass, you know like you do ok the bass, i bought it from Bass Gear in Harrogate last November for £1150.00. http://www.bassgear.co.uk/products-page/ba...rd-4-quilt-top/ as the link says only mine is finnished in a lovely high gloss, infact it's so glossy the laquer looks like it's still wet, which of course it isn't. it is in as new condition with absolutely no marks or buckle rash of any kind & comes in the original Zon gigbag. this is a beautiful bass & i really do not want to sell it however i may have to,even the wife wants me to keep it. sound wise it is immense, very very punchy with an amzing eq which gives a massive range of available tones. build quality is absolutley fantastic, this is the best made bass i've ever owned & plays like a dream. these are pretty hard to get at the moment & this may even be the only one for sale in the U.K. it is like new so i'm not prepared to give it away + since i'll be raising funds i can't take a trade, price asked is £900.00 prefer cash on collection or i can meet you somewhere convenient. cheers edit: here's a link to a mini review i did on this bass http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=110848&hl=

Bump!
thanks for the bump i must agree about the bass too (well i would i suppose) it really is a damn good bass.

thanks for the kind comments guys mucho appreciated i must admit i like it myself,it's the first time i've heard a recording of myself & not though "that could have been a lot better if i'd only just ...... ) SUE f***ing RYDER ! how dare you as for the tone,i'd been mucking about with my amp & inadvertantly turned the input gain too high,i did consider stopping to adjust it but alas i'm far too fat & lazy to walk all the way over to my amp again. i thought it sounded crap when i was playing it but now i like it a lot---not too shure my rig does though. as for compression i just had my amp's on board at about 50% or so.

just got my new P bass yesterday & went straight round to my drummer friends studio for a jam with him & my brother. basically i just started jaming this here rhythm when Rhys, the drummer, said we should record it & see what developed, this is the result. bearing in mind this was a total jam i think it's pretty funky & i don't consider myself a funk player especially after 32 years of rock & blues. what to you guys think ? (be nice please) btw i'd been messing with my amp' & turned the input gain up much to far without realising but quite like to result.

thanks for all the kind comments chaps i'm a very happy badger the photo posted is just out of the case,it's had a wee tweak & the strings positioned correctly now & it is fooking ace,i forgot how good a good P can be. took it to the 1st jam with a potential new band last night & the funk just flew from this bass,so much so we recorded it. i would upload it for you all to laugh at but i've no idea how to upload audio tracks (yes i am a luddite) so if you fancy a giggle at my expense let me know how to do it please. cheers chaps :edit- i think i like this bass that much i may even sell my Zon & get a back up,you know like you do
