    Everyone knows the deal with these, bought it from new from Bassdirect. It's an awesome pedal but I'm hankering after the Microtubes Vintage. Original box and all. Mint condition, never been used in anger.     Bridge pickup on a passive Jazz, new strings, SFT with volume up and gain around 10 o'clock and bass and trebble at 12ish and all tube amp with boosted mids get you pretty close to the Evil Empire tone.

    Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm looking into making a Telemaster bass too. Is the body size the same as a Jazzmaster? Or have you had to upscale it slightly?

    +1 for the SYB-5. Although you'll need an expression pedal. There isn't going to be an out of the box pedal for producing wobbles, they usually need some form of interaction
