Not immediately to hand but can go get a pic or three later when I drag myself out of bed 😄

Gig #2 of the weekend was a hot sweaty punk rock all-dayer in Cambridge with Youths. Great venue, loads of bands, lovely promoter and a brilliant sound engineer all made it a joy. We played well I think, had a laugh and lots about half our body weight in sweat. Bass was my first ever bass (Vester jazz) direct into the PA via my Laney Digbeth pre. Sounded ace from where I was. Shoes were some tired black Etnies which are super comfy but maybe a bit heavy for such a hot day - lesson learnt 😄

Second gig of the Katy Hurt album release tour (we’ve taken to calling it “Gimme A Tour” after the album’s “Gimme A Break” title). Bath Chapel Arts Centre this time - what a great venue. Ed the soundman was ace, we even had a lighting engineer who was making sure we all had a spotlight on us. Great crowd, one of Katy’s biggest fans in the front row singing along to every word - I spoke to her afterwards and she has been cramming the album all week in preparation. I reckon she knows the songs better than me 🤣 I didn’t play as well as the week before but it was still a great fun gig. Next up for Katy is Chelmsford on Thursday; next up for me is my pop/punk band Youths tonight in Cambridge. Yesterday’s choice of footwear was some black leather Chelsea boots which made my feet hurt 😆

He’s deleted all the posts now… Hmmm.

Seems you both posted very close to each other! I hope he fights this, that post about his wife was very worrying indeed.

I just saw this too. All a bit mad. Seems he was trying to move production to the UK to avoid the stupid US tariffs on Chinese made products but his business partner shafted him instead. Hope it sorts itself out

First night of the Katy Hurt album release tour tonight, at the gorgeous Square Tower in Portsmouth. An almost packed room, my first ever guitar and bass teacher in attendance and the second gig I’ve had with my gorgeous new ACG bass. All in all it was a cracking way to kick off the tour, roll on Bath on Friday 😎 White leather Converse, pristine at the beginning of the evening but now bearing their first (minor) battle scars.

Love this tune, always makes me smile. Back in lockdown I used the Emma Electronics Okto Nøjs to make a fairly convincing little version of this.

@Bluewine you are looking marvellous for 71. I reckon playing music is helping! I hope I am still playing in my 70s

Had a gorgeous passive seafoam green one with a single chrome soap bar pickup about 15 years ago, bloody loved it. Stupidly sold it once then bought it back… If I hadn’t gone to shorter scales I expect I’d still have it.

I don’t think I’ve read a bad review of them, they seem to do the Super J thing superbly. Andrew has carved a nice little niche for himself!

Shows how we’re all different, the MB sounded crap to me in comparison! As @Stub Mandrel alluded to, it depends what we’re listening though perhaps…

Bought a Laney Digbeth preamp from Dave after posting a wanted ad. Super quick and easy to deal with, superb comms. Many thanks!
