3. Met Nick early this morning. He bought my Epiphone Rumblekat & was a real pleasure to deal with throughout. Many thanks for buying the bass Nick hope you enjoy playing it Steve
 4. I'm sure that's the one I saw for sale in a tent at a steam rally near Kettering in September (I kid you not). If it wasn't this one it was a very similar configuration - it was definitely a Hutchins branded one in blue. I remember thinking it was an odd configuration to produce. The guy had quite a few in different configurations from different manufacturers including a Strat/Jazz twin neck that I was prevented from buying by the current Mrs Tazza & it was only £150! Mind you with no way of testing them as he had no amp there it could well be that she saved me from myself!
 5. Thank you - it does look really nice & plays really well. Maybe it's too close to Christmas?
 6. I've just bought Tim's Ashdown RM110 from him. Very friendly communication & was kind enough to wait for payment until I was paid. The cab was exactly as described & arrived very quickly & very well packed. It was a real pleasure to deal with you Tim - thank you very much for a nice easy, smooth transaction. Cheers Steve
 7.
99.9% it was a Columbus before it was refinished & had its logo sanded off. Columbus was an incredibly common UK brand but Cimar is very uncommon. Seller seems to be making stuff up in order to pretend it's got an Ibanez connection. Which it hasn't and wouldn't really, even if it was a Cimar. Which it's not.
I've only ever seen these in sunburst so it's nice to see one in a different colour. So it is probably a ply body then? Certainly the sunburst one I have, which I suspect is similar to this, is ply bodied. I must repair it some day.
 8. There's a nicely aged Jap Crap Jazz on the Bay at the moment. The seller says he thinks a Cimar, it does have the chrome truss rod cover & Made In Japan neck plate which you find on 70's era Japanese copies so it could be any one of a few generic brands. Not a bad price either - if it wasn't just before Xmas I probably would have bought this except for the fact I now mainly play short scale basses. Hopefully Bassassin will be along soon! 9. I've just sold my Vintage Modified Jazz to Craig. He has been a real pleasure to deal with through out the transaction & paid for the bass straight away just as he said he would. You can deal with confidence with Craig. Many thanks for buying the Jazz Craig & I hope you enjoy playing it. Cheers Steve
 10. Weighed this this evening on the bathroom scales (by weighing myself first then weighing again with the bass) & it weighs 9lbs or 4.2 of those new fangled kilograms
What does it weigh please?
11. I've still got one! It was my main gigging amp for years. I tell myself it's a back up but the truth is I can't bear to let it go. 150 loud watts & I could get almost any sound out of it with all the switching options & the graphic on it, fantastic amp. I paired it with 2x10 & 1x15 Ampeg cabs - that rig would be way too heavy for me to cart around these days though.
I had a Laney head back in the day, a DP150? I think? One of these: IIRC, it was pretty good! Can't remember what I traded or P/X'd it for, was a looooong time ago!
12. I've just sold my Violin bass to Lloyd. He's a nice guy & it was a pleasure doing business with him. Hope you enjoy the bass Lloyd Thanks Steve
 13. Hi - I'll weigh it for you when I get home this evening Taz
What does it weigh please?
14. Thanks mate! They look great too with a maple fingerboard & black blocks.
For what it's worth folks, my mate's lad bought one of these recently - forget about the S word, it absolutely sings!
15. It is a shame - sorry about that mate!
Shame I'm in London!
16. One last need Xmas money type bump. Price reduced to £75!
 17. One last need Xmas money type bump. Reduced to £180 before it goes on eBay
 18. Bump for the one & only price drop - now £200 (If it doesn't sell at this I'll find some way of keeping it!!)
 19. NOW SOLD!! We're in the process of relocating & as our new home is a lot smaller I won't have the room to keep all of my bass collection (the collection has got out of hand anyway!) so I'm selling off most of my basses. This one has been a tough decision. I bought this new on a whim in June of this year as I've always loved Jazz basses but as I really only play short scale basses now I'm reluctantly going to let this go. I paid over £300 for it & the cheapest I could find it new is £308. It is in as new condition, I can't see any marks on it anywhere but I've only played it a couple of times at rehearsals. As you would expect it plays really nicely & sounds like a Jazz should. It does not come with a case or gig bag as I don't have any spares left. These are the specs & I've included a link to some pics below (taken with my smartphone so they're not the best!):

Color: Olympic White
Body Material: Soft Maple
Body Finish: Polyurethane
Body Shape: Jazz Bass
Neck Material: Maple
Neck Finish: Vintage Tint Gloss
Neck Shape: "C" Shape
Scale Length: 34" (864 mm)
Fingerboard: Maple
Fingerboard Radius: 9.5" (241 mm)
Number of Frets: 20
Fret Size: Medium Jumbo
String Nut: Synthetic Bone
Nut Width: 1.5" (38.1 mm)
Position Inlays: Block
Bridge Pickup: Fender-Designed Single-Coil Jazz Bass
Middle Pickup: Fender-Designed Single-Coil Jazz Bass
Controls: Volume 1. (Middle Pickup), Volume 2. (Bridge Pickup), Master Tone
Pickup Configuration: SS
Bridge: 4-Saddle Standard
Hardware Finish: Chrome
Tuning Machines: Standard Open-Gear
Pickguard: 3-Ply Black
Strings: Fender USA Super Bass 7250ML, NPS, (.045-.100 Gauges)
I no longer post basses out after having problems previously with a couple of basses being damaged by couriers so I'm afraid it is collection only. However this can be collected from my workplace in Leicester (I can be available most evenings except weekends but unfortunately you won't be able to play it through an amp there - If you want to try it out I can bring my Pandora & headphones & you can play it through that) or can be collected from my house near Norwich during weekends where you can try it out through my amp (I would need a few days notice though so I can retrieve it and the amp from where they're stored). Pics: https://1drv.ms/f/s!...3JuPMP7Zbl6ZLK- Thanks for looking Tazza
 20. Wow - I thought I'd mistakenly logged onto TalkBass. Hope this forum isn't heading that way.
Is this Basschat or have I stumbled into some place full of people looking at throwing insults at each other
