1. Hey Geek, Welcome to the broken Just a Nut 2 club! The little wings break all the time! They are not essential and with the price of a replacement just a nut most people just leave it as is. The nut will fall off normally when you take the strings off, you just slot it back in.
2. That is a great thing, and the whole company really impress me. Anything that encourages people young and old to really learn how things work is only a good thing.
3.
Wow - just have to make sure that Zane never hears our music. We've been lucky so far!
I honestly mean that. If we ever got scenesters getting into our band and we started to become 'cool' I would no longer want to do what I do. Nothing would make me more jaded. Maybe I'm just a miserable old sod.
4. Warwick do make jacks but they are pretty much tat, buy a switchcraft one, years of good use.
5. More crap. Career progression will be as follows - Have played Jools Holland, 90% of music buying public think its crap and turn off. 10% use the 90% claiming its crap as evidence of their superiority of their scene Within 3 months NME cover claiming (MOST IMPORTANT BAND IN THE WORLD) Album comes out Goes to number 4 within a year NO ONE remembers them. Remember the drums? or the vaccines? or The paddingtons, or any of these tripe bands? Of course you don't, if I ever got into a band who appeared on the NME cover or were hyped by Zane Lowe as the biggest band in the world I would just break up there and then, it's a death sentence.
6. Yep, put a switchcraft in it!
7. You are not meant to wax the coloured oil finishes, only use a cloth and normal guitar cleaner. Wax will damage the finish.
8. They are there for painting jigs. This is 100% true.
9. And some of those rockbasses are touching the the thousand pound figure... for a Chinese built bass...
10. You can get almost anything second hand for under a grand as well now.
11. The biggest tube makers used to be Russia because a bundle of Russian military systems still run with tubes, the MiG 25 still flys in active service and uses tubes! Since they began a hard modernisation process the demand for tubes dried up in the Russian military and so the factories closed. I would bet my bottom dollar there are military warehouses and storage yards in Russia with boxes of thousands of mint NOS 60's tubes sitting there doing nought...
12. Any pub band that doesnt use an ancient Trace 4x10 combo is not worth its salt!
13. That is a massive amount of amp for a small amount of pounds.
14. Ignore me, just spoke to someone a bit more knowledgeable and am going to try this from a slightly different angle.
15. Throw a curve ball. No plate just a control plate...

17. Everytime I see a roasted neck I remember the great roasting war over on the ebmm forums...
18. This thread is brilliant. Bacon.
19. That. Is bloody amazing
20. I wondered that..
21.
Are they faking the logos?
From the Jackson I saw someone bought yes...
22. http://www.rareelectricguitar.com/Rare-138-b0-BASSES.html So folks, What do we think, anyone brave enough to have a punt, someone over on a Jackson forum I found ordered one, consensus was crap hardware and in bad need of a serious set up but looked right. They claim they will build ANYTHING in 15 working days for a couple hundred dollars....
23. I have to say, I don't like the headstock... The Evo looks a great bass just that headstock screams BCRICH or other metally guitar to me
