totally awesome looking bass! Love the new finish.

Thanks for the input all. I don't really know what I'm after, but I guess I like the idea of a jazz type bass as it's a bit further away from my current Status.

Any thoughts on these two skyline basses? I'm not in a position to try out either, but I like the look of them both. There's a JO5 for sale on the forum here, and I've also found a 55-02 for about £150 more. My usual procrastination means that they will probably both get sold before I make any decisions!!

Bummer. I was subscribed to MarloweDK. Does this mean that pathetic, lesser-talented musicians like me will get taken down for having done cover versions???

Always fancied a mandolin. Maybe one day ..............

History does seem to revere Bolin as one of the better players in his day though. Gary Moore did some great stuff with Colloseum II, but he has admitted that he was way out of his comfort zone and winging it!

Ahhh, love that stuff. Especially when the late great Tommy Bolin was on guitar.

I went to the Gallery a few months ago specifically to try a 5 string tobacco sunburst, but it had been sold. Doh, should have rung first, it's not as if the website can be up to date all the time!

Sounds trivial, but I don't think I'd like the sharp ends sticking out off the front of my bass. I totally love the ease of swapping double ball strings anyway.
