I'd have a hard time continuing with that gig. The damage to my equipment from repeated powercuts would be costing me more than the gig was paying.

You can see from looking at the Big Muff Schematic that R1 and C1 sort of do this, but depending on version don't really do it well enough for active basses. I haven't seen inside a Bass Big Muff so I don't know the R1 and C1 values.
