1.
I had a VT2 Twin EQ DI one. It was fantastic. I can't remember why I sold it either....
I am on the look out for a VT2 EQ after selling mine too. I know it's too big and you need to make sure you have the right power supply but nothing has come close for me and that's after a whole number of drive pedals.
 2.

class bass and rig #chapeau
 3. not sure what but whatever it is you win. "How much more bass? None more bass!"
 4. this is great, smart TV - the guy knows what he's talking about, explains things clearly and passionately. The Sound of Cinema series was excellent and this complements it perfectly.
 5.
So the handles are made of tolex? Or is it the feet? We should be told! Luckily enough, my daughter never saw fit to develop her musical talent. That means that all the Barefaced cabs around here are mine ...
was just going to say those handles look really badly placed. only joking, this looks awesome and is an amazing present from a dad. Makes my effort for my kids seem positively sh*t.
 6. i had increasingly huge boards for years but realised i wasn't using it in the studio and not getting the value in crappy gigs, so tiny became the priority and I have never looked back. My issue with compressors is that I have a totally passive precision, active Warwick and very active Jazz - i need metering to fine tune when i change between them. This is a bit of a hassle to be honest and a simple "one knob" solution would be great but I might need to simplify my bass set up.
 7. you want one just because of size? I haven't been able to convince myself to move below standard enclosure (M87) so I can retain some metering. But it is out of place on my nano board so VERY interested in high quality micro options. I had my eye on an SFX comp, which I assume remains a custom option but did not go into full production.
 8. it's Sunday night, it's bump time
 9. i use this with MIDI pedals, it has some great pad/wash sounds and I am def one of the people who regards it highly.
 10. further price drop, now basically giving it away.
 11.
I suspect the camera perspective creates the overhang, or at least makes it look bigger han it actually is.
yeah, there's a wee bit of overhang, but not much. Still means full on punk stomping is not advised but for how I play getting all these on the tiny board makes it more than worth it.
 12.
Like EDIT: I reposted that on TB, hope you don't mind
all good on the reposting - I have acknowledged it on TB.
 13. Having moved NANO a couple of years ago I only occasionally hanker after the MEGA board days (I miss my DHA VT2 the most). I have been using some Mooers and various other options but landed mainly on TC and SFX. The MXR compressor (which I love) remains the odd one out in terms of size but I really like having metering on my comp. I have just added the toneprint enabled TC Corona mini (which I haven't tried yet but have heard some great chorus toneprints).
 14.
thanks to this thread I've just watched it on the i player, not a big U2 fan but compared to some of the dross around they sounded pretty good to me, thought the Slaves were like a breath of fresh air, but as ever it depends on your own tastes, wouldn't do for us all to like the same thing would it?
**LIKE**
 15.
I'd love to hear how that sounded.
local paper described us as "poor man's Nirvana" with "a couple of half decent noisy tunes"! I was young.
 16.
An old friend just sent me a pic from my first every gig back in 79. I never knew there where any pics taken. Check out the bass
awesome
 17.
Yeah, that was me, hard to believe. I was 16 or 17 and now I'm 62 and still love performing. Looking forward to tonight's show. Sorry about hi-jacking the thread. Blue
great photo Blue
 18. new extended set up now that I am playing MIDI synth pedals - temporarily set up in a spare room. This features my '75 Precision, Puma 500 into BF midget t and compact. Synth duties fulfilled by a M-Audio venom, Korg module and an old Viscount multiFX unit with MIDI pedal function. More Rusty Lee than Geddy Lee but still it keeps me happy.
