1. Haha, this man knows his stuff! I'm glad for the negativity, I was half considering smashing my bank account into the red and driving to Glasgow...
2.
Some might have been, they were made badly with poor components, thus were very inconsistent, and got more inconsistent as the components aged.
The studio must have had a good one then.
3. I recorded through one a couple of years ago at a studio in Leeds, and it was glorious. A little woolly round the edges, yes, but with definition and a little grit on the low notes. Phwoar!
4. Ah well, can't blame him really. Although if it was me I'd be hanging on to it!
5. Looks like a bargain to me... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120948057952?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_500wt_1287

8. I've done the Neo thing, and to me they're just not the same...
9. Ooh... you're just down the road... if the 15 is still here on payday, and I can source a cheap but decent driver for it...
10. I bought this for a project which never came together, as so, it hasn't been used. It's vintage spec, alnico, scatterwound. £25 delivered in the UK.
11. To me, the JV is the P-Bass tone. I don't know why, it's just the most pleasing to my ear.
12.
I found that in ThebassGallery Sixty and Seventy looks mixed... http://www.thebassgallery.com/product_details.cfm?ID=2301&type=Bass%20Guitar
I think this may be my perfect bass... if it weren't for the active electronics
13. Scott bought my Delano preamp - I couldn't have wished for an easier transaction.
14. Bump for price drop - off on holiday next week and could use a little extra cash.
15. Bump for pics. Going to get an output jack for this and attach it, so the only soldering required by the buyer will be attaching the pickups to the blend pot.
16. I'm selling this as I've come to realise that I just don't get on with active basses. Definitely the nicest preamp I've used; nicely transparent, ridiculously clean and very musical. Here's all the gubbins: delano website. It comes with all the pots (3 EQ, blend and push/pull volume), and I'll print out a copy of the wiring guide to include. Looking for £50 firm, including UK delivery.
17. Bump for an amazing bass - I've got the 6 string and love it. The delano preamp is the quietest I've ever come across, and is really well voiced. You can literally turn the treble all the way up without any hiss whatsoever.
18.
I have one of these and it's as close to 'that jazz' as I've ever found... I had issues to begin with about the whole road worn thing
I had one, and I agree - to begin with I found the idea a bit naff, but then I played one. Absolutely lovely.
19. Have you got any pictures mate? And would you be interested in any trades?
20. My ears obviously have cheap (or sensible) taste; I liked the MIM the best.
