2.
Im seated watching at the O2! Did you watch him do DSoTM? I watched it 3 years running in three different venues... lol
I can remember 1973 Earls Court - I've even still got the bootleg LP I bought on the steps, the ticket stub & programme - the T shirt has long since gone! First time I saw the Floyd was the free concert in Hyde Park in '68, Atom Heart Mother, loved them ever since.
 3.
I'd love to... but I'd never pay such ridiculous prices for one evening's entertainment. If it was £40 I'd go, but £75 plus booking fees? And I'd have to get the other half one. And then pay for travel to either London or Manchester. Hm, no.
Tickets direct from O2 online @ £67.25 & no booking fee - worth every penny IMHO. It ain't often I'll travel to that London but as it's Roger PS In July '90 I was working for the company that did the official video of The Wall Live in Berlin, up above the mixing desk with the AV gear, I'll never forget it!
 4. YES! Tickets went on sale today - SORTED! - got mine, anybody else going? Manchester dates = May 20/21 Ooooooooooooh it's a long time since, October 94 IIRC. Roger Waters Tour Cheerz, John
 5.
One thing I forgot to mention - the string earth (thru bridge) doesn't work with black plastic strings. I've never had a problem with buzz or noise, but its worth remembering.
Possible if strung through body but if the ball end is in the bridge you will get continuity through the string core. Your body touching the strings outer only won't have any effect.
 6.
Always been good to me,cant praise them enough.
+1 They could not have been more helpful when I wanted to 'update' my Mini48 cab to look the same as my Little Bastard cab. Superb customer service, always reply to emails, a good example to some others! Cheerz, John.
 7. Any info on Andrea's white P bass? Cheerz, John
 8. This is one I've modified to 4 out on a daisy chain, currently powering Tuner, LEDs + 2 pedals. I can make mods like this or whatever to suit your needs - PM me Cheerz, John
 9.
No love for this gorgeous P?
It would be nice if you could answer the questions I put in my 5th July post & PS - Is it a one piece neck or stuck on maple fretboard? Cheerz, John
 10.
99ster spotted this http://www.gruhn.com/catalog/b.htm (Garry Beers of INXS - selling his basses)Including his amazing custom built one-off Perspex P Bass....
That is ace! Neat wiring too - you sure it's a Fender Who put the P in Perspex - - - - was it the same bloke that put the (*nt in Scunthorpe
 11.
I hope the new range have rude names too. Little Bastard, Medium M***erF***er and Massive C**t.
MoFo's been done long time, if you Watch Ashdown TV closely you'll see a Hayden MOFO in all it's glory! You have to be quick though, just a glimpse onn the vid, they had the full M.th3r F.ck3r badges on at Musikmesse, I haven't seen them in the UK though! Cheerz, John
 12.
my LB has been fixed and is on its way back to me Great service from ashdown
Hey sk8 what's been fixed? Just being nozey like Cheerz, John
 13. Great to see Ashdown represented on the forum at last I've always found them very helpful & friendly to deal with + it is good to support a British company. Cheers, John
 14. "The neck is straight, and the truss rod works fine. The frets seems to be original, and are like new. The only thing that maybe it's not original is the brass nut, but I'm not sure. The witdh at nut is 40mm, and the neck is thin and comfortable (similar to a jazz neck)" First time I've heard of a neck with a 40mm nut on a '73 Precision? I read they changed from the 'C' 1&3/4" to the 'B' 1&5/8" in 72/73. Always thought the 40 mm was/is a Jazz neck & it was much later they started swapping around?
 15. All I can say is that I had the first LB in the UK (end of March) & I told Ashdown about the switches etc. They've obviously not updated the online manual. No I didn't get a hard copy either! The Up for On is (in my mind) the American way - must be why it seems right to Ben (LuvMusic), but I see it as wrong simply because it's upside down to the notation. I think the guy that designed the amp didn't talk to the guy doing the front panel layout! It's the Bright & Mute that are wrong (to me) the Bass Shift & Mid Shift could be either way Take any switch in the world - if you switch it toward the notation, be it On or OFF - O or I - Loud or Quiet - Mute Bright whatever, what do you expect? It's a lovely little amp though does exactly what I want - beautifully & sounds great Cheers, John
 16. I forgot to mention - my current gas/lust is a '57 Vintage White/Blonde - just how I like my woman too
 17.
Further to my earlier post, I found a stand for the 51RI & have also assembled a further P-bass mainly from 70s parts
Good to see thumb bars in the right place Nice collection Burrito Here's my 2&1/2 - the Bello has a P neck
 18. I have some 'Heavy Duty' 9 Volt DC, 1 Amp UK plug in adaptors for sale - decent quality - perfect for powering your pedals - fitted with 5.5/2.1 mm plug on >1.5m lead. Wired centre + but can soon be changed. These are not the usual feather light jobs, so hopefully should last for years & with 1000mAh output have enough power to daisy chain a few pedals (depending on individual current requirement). Brand new & boxed. They weigh 550g nett so P&P is not cheap, selling for £6.00 each posted - UK - 1st class. PayPal OK. PM me for details please, first come first served. PS If you have any specific wiring configuration requirement let me know & I'll see what I can do (a small fee may apply;-) Edit: I can add plugs & wire to suit at cost of £1.00 per extra plug, so a 4 way daisy chained as shown will cost £9.00 Cheers, John
 19. IIRC one of my mates got the same upgrade back in the early 60's - the 'new electronic pick-up' was a Hofner made 'bolt on' made to screw to the bottom end of the neck & the controls console made to fit over the tailpiece. Probably very collectable now if it still works & no reason why it wouldn't! Cheers, John
 20.
hey guys, really hoping you can help me the jack on my ibanez edb605 appears to have broken. it looks like one of the contacts in the socket has snapped and therefore it isn't making a proper connection when i put the lead in. i need to find a replacement, but i don't really know where to find one from. im wondering if one of you tech savvy bass geniuses would be able to help me out and point me in the right direction towards one. i believe it is a stereo , and the bass is active if its any help. ive posted some pictures, ive looked around and i can't seem to find one that looks the same :S cheers in advance
This ebay shop is great for price & fast delivery, if you can do the soldering? There's one here! How much am I bid - before it goes on ebay - it might have been played by Lemmy, he played on Hastings pier a few times - that's close!
