Slappers aren't part of the range any more. I think you need the nickel plated strings - the closest set is SN42-CB (29/40//60/80/100/128). That said, I just found Slappers [url="http://thebassgallery.com/index.php/strings/hard-rocking-steel-slappers-6-string-4489.html"]here[/url] for £41 a set

You've had a single set of strings on the bass for 5-6 years? Surely that means £60-70 is money well spent if you like them that much! It's hard to give advice without trying to ID the strings in question first. What colour silks are they? Are they steel or nylon wound?

Hello Al There is no volume adjustment on Channel B. Have you tried your electric in A, without the piezo switched to 10 MOhm, and the upright in B? Cheers Gareth

How to make a great bass better? Add a Noll preamp. Neck stack is volume on top and midrange below, pull up for passive operation. Bridge stack is passive tone on top with bass below.
