  1. Exactly. A great bag for £50, but there are better options out there at the higher price. Although I can’t help but think G4M have got their prices a bit squiffy there - no way it should cost more than the Pro Go!
  2. Welcome Lloyd
  3. They've also put the price up on the Transit version too, so much so that they are now more expensive than the (superior, IMO) Pro Go bag!?
  4. It's a Pro Go X This is the Transit. The only real differencesa are the external material finish, a slightly less sculpted shape, and that there are no D rings on the Pro Go X. Oh, and that it's half the price
  5. Excellent, but how many is that now?
  6. You've got it on long term loan from a mate?😉
  7. I have two of these. They are the usual Gator quality. Decent neck bracing for angled headstocks too, unlike the Mono Sleeve. You can also fit more into the front pocket. They aren't top loading though. There's also a fabric version in black, grey or tan, but this one is finished in the same material as the Gator Pro Go range, so feels a bit more durable.
  8. Can this run on a battery or is it mains only?
  9. Not being funny, but they are different basses and I think should be celebrated as such. Why buy a Stingray to sound like a Warwick?
  10. Pretty much sums the Faces music up, and I like their stuff. In the spirit of the band, I wouldn't worry about being note perfect, just come up with your own line and enjoy it! As you say, "in tune and in time" is all you need.
  11. Cute rig. That image of the girl looks photoshopped to me....
  12. Now £230 Excellent two channel floor preamp with all the details here. Less than a year old and very light use. Comes with original box, manual, packaging and PSU. They are £350 new: I would like £230 posted in the UK. Cheers Gareth
  13. I sold Loz a Mono gig bag. Great comms, immediate payment, thoroughly decent chap.
  14. I wouldn't say they were particularly thumpy. The La Bella white nylons in particular have a very nice bright top end (jump to 4.30 in this video).
  15. How about La Bella nylon flats? Lovely medium-low tension and the standard gauge set sound full and fat.
  16. Apparently they were developed for Chicago Music Exchange by La Bella. Pure nickel roundwound wrap on a hex core. No silks at either end. Lots of different gauges and scale lengths. Tension I would say is medium-high. Tone is pure nickel: warm, with sweet highs Feel is wonderful, they are so smooth your fingers fly over them with much less squeak.
  17. Anyone else digging these? I absolutely love them.
  18. I’m having a big string clearout. First up, a new set of: La Bella White Nylon Super Long flats - £55 BNIB, these are the very rare super long 40" white nylon flats. Not to be confused with the 38" extra long sets that are also out there 50/65/85/105/135 Followed by some lightly used sets that haven't had much use, in fact some have been put on and taken straight off! D’Addario "Chromes" flats ECB8145-100 - £22 Removed from a brand new bass. Silks frayed in places. Cut for 2 over 2 headstock 37” long scale. 45/65/80/100 Newtone Diamond nickel roundwounds - £22 Low tension nickel plated steel Lightly used. Cut for 3 over 2 headstock 38.5” long 55/70/90/110/135 Fodera nickel roundwounds - £22 Nickel plated steel Lightly used. Cut for 3 over 2 headstock 37” long 45/65/85/105/130 All prices include 2nd Class Recorded Delivery in the UK.
  19. Try Pinegrove. They are good guys.
  20. Now £225 collected or £250 posted.
  21. The main house bass in my son's school band is a Cort. I took it home to give it a set up and a service a few weeks ago and was blown away by how good it was. These look great. I think Bass The World have reviewed a Cort fan fret too?
