  1. Sorry dude. 😊 If I did get inked I really have no idea what I’d get done. Unlikely to be a bass guitar image though, although a double bass or a bass clef tatt could be tempting.
  2. I do have tats but, as I’m not from Glasgow, I call them moobs! 🤪 In all seriousness, this was a google image. I don’t have any tattoos, and at 58 I think the only meaningful bit of ink now would be my address.
  3. I got a tattoo of the first bass I bought when I joined BC, then overwritten with each replacement, here’s the result.
  4. 6’4” 18 st My double bass is the only band mate I see eye to eye with.
  5. Maybe try writing on a different instrument than you would normally do? What’s your “go to method”. Lyrics first? Riff/chord patterns first? Try changing stuff around. Read some different literature to get inspired for a story/theme? I feel your frustration but changing my normal MO tends to “prime the pump”. Hope you find your flow soon?
  6. Yup. My old Jazz quartet this was the one that got the wall flowers up! We did a wedding where this was the bride and grooms first dance! Sod your boy band crap, let’s go ape!
  7. Looks like it’s been left everywhere 🤭
  8. I thought the title was referring to a new Supergroup you’d discovered Stew. or a recommended solicitors?
  9. Guitarists reviewing basses is as insightful as Clarkson writing the forward in Greta Thunberg’s biography. 🙄
  10. As a 10-11 year old listening to my older brothers early Elton John LP’s, Dee Murray‘s playing made me want to play bass, then Kenny Passarelli (I still hear him in my playing today) got me into fretless. Percy Jones influenced my technique and love of fretless a little further, although I wasn’t particularly into jazz rock.

  12. Depends... if it was a Phillips light bulb, it would have been changed for no obvious reason already.. IBTL 🤪
  13. What scale are these? Love the look, so cool.
  14. Mine are still there
  15. My experience of him via eBay was interesting. He asked a question about a bass neck I had listed. He stated that he was asking because he had experience of being ripped off by dubious sellers. I’m sure Mr P has replied to previous threads commenting on his work. And from memory he held his own, and stood up for himself.
  16. Really enjoyed it.
  17. I always associate Pizza Express with live music. So my first reaction to their financial difficulties was “another reduction in live music venues” rather than mourning the nosh.
  18. No topping that!
  19. He and I share the same name. I’m going to copy and paste some of these comments and use them for nefarious purposes mwhahahaha On topic though, he is a lovely fella.
  20. Ah! My bad tbf Paul Yes l hope that you sell the amp before May 😂. Cheers, John
  21. Sorry probably wrong Paul? I had a vague memory of meeting a Paul a couple of years back in a car park on the A303 who was travelling East having visited the West Country to obtain some plants. We did a trade on some basses. It may have been a dream or a trip of course 😊
  22. You don’t come out west anymore Paul?
  23. I think the “why” boat has sailed. 🤪
  24. There...fixed.
