Holidaying in Italy... I'd parked the car in a town car park while we wandered around, this was what I found on my return. Bloody Italians. Luckily I managed to get in through the passenger door and scramble across. I may have accidentally scrawled the word 'TWÀT' in foot high letters in the dust on his bonnet before I left.

Shuttle 9.2 incoming...

From the manual:
QuoteWhen driving the power amp hard, the result is increased heft and girth while maintaining the dynamics and articulation of individual notes. That's where I've been going wrong. I've been going for heft when I should have been paying more attention to my girth!

I've had a busy working week, I've got a busy day tomorrow and a gig in the evening. All I want today is a bit of chilling time sat on me jacksy. Is that too much to ask?
Apparently yes, it is...

Hidden gems on BBC Sounds #1: 'J Kingston Platt', a series of monologues by the brilliant Peter Jones. Gently hilarious.

Went to an Ed Byrne gig last night... postponed from March 2020 well worth the wait though, haven't laughed so much in ages.

This morning my laptop has refused to communicate with tinternet for some reason. This is quite serious as it means I can't connect to the office servers and will therefore be unable to do any work today (phone is ok hence this post). I've tried everything I can think of but unfortunately even after much swearing and bashing of keys...
...it's started working perfectly.
Damn. *puts bass down again*

A bit of tweakage to my JayRay fretless. As it was based on an OLP 'Ray, it was originally passive... I'd intended to either buy a Stinger preamp or make one on vero, but then I rediscovered the 2-band EQ from my old Yamaha RBX765 lurking in the spares box, so I've fitted that instead. I'd forgotten how powerful a preamp it is. Absolutely brought it to life. I love tinkering with stuff, especially when it turns out as well as this has.

Marcus Rashford's twitter feed today has been glorious. The sort of thing that restores your faith in humanity.

A study by the Institute Of Incomplete Research has found that 6 out of 10 people.

Another lockdown tweak done... added a HF tweeter and crossover to my wee Behringer 60w 1x12 rehearsal combo. Mud, begone!

On my hols in Italy at the moment... I was on a bus in Capri yesterday and got chatting to the young British couple sitting next to me... turns out they're from the same village near Reading that I was born/brought up in.

Another gig bites the dust, and this one hurts... the One Love Festival in Kent, in August. Absolutely gutted. I was really looking forward to this one.

As if I didn't feel old enough already...
I've just found out that later this year I'm becoming a great-great-uncle.
Jeeves, bring my zimmer frame.

These bloody celebrity gardeners are all liars. I saw one a while back advising us that horse manure would make strawberries tastier and more juicy. In reality, it does nothing to improve them at all.
I'm going back to double cream and I'd advise everyone else to do likewise. -
Listening to The Beat's "Ranking Full Stop" with a view to working it into the ska band's set. It's never struck me before just how much the lyric sounds like "ranking foolscap"...
