  1. Those were mine and, as you say, god alone knows how that happened. It's not like I've ever driven them particularly hard. They'd be well worth having a crack at for anyone who's got the ability and time.
  2. I used to be a big fan, but... he and I had a falling out over a comment he made on Farcebook. As a result he unfriended me and then blocked me... the FB equivalent of picking up his bat & ball and stomping off home. Nige (xilddx of this parish) was involved and got the same treatment from him. I still love his music, but him? not so much. TL;DR - nope.
  3. Pfretzschner Bless you.

  5. James Taylor Quartet in February
  6. War Against Christ - Venom
  7. Am I the only one amused by the fact that people are going out of their way to comment on a topic called "Let's Talk About Progressive Rock" specifically to tell us all that they don't want to talk about progressive rock?
  8. Please tell me that this isn't going to turn into yet another "how can Wals possibly be worth it" thread. I was in dire financial straits a few years back and came within an ace of putting my beloved Wal up for sale purely for the money. I knew I couldn't do it when simply writing the advert made me blub. Thank got I didn't, it's doubled in value since then.
  9. Sixteen Tons - Tennessee Ernie Ford
  10. Oh, Charlotte. I know it's 2023 and we don't say such things any more, but can I just say a quick 'phwoarr'? Phwoarr. Thanks.
  11. Still ramping here
  12. Spotted a really handsome P copy on my local Farcebook marketplace... nice purple finish with only a couple of minor dings, maple neck, on close viewing the action looked pretty low which was a good sign, and very cheap too... so I thought I'd get it as a possible base for modding... send a message... I missed it by 10 minutes apparently 😭

I'm just working on a parts project and I bought a purple Squier PJ body pending getting a Fender Jazz one at some point.

Yes, it was much the same colour as that. Imagine it with a maple board. Lovely looker. :(

This one's not in the best condition, but it'll do to hold everything together whilst I'm getting the parts.

Rich being nosey or scientifically interested, did you have the jab?

I'm actually 5-jabbed, I received 3 of them as part of the A-Z trial I participated in. However, perhaps crucially, I missed my autumn booster last year. I imagine it left a hole in my immunity.

  20. I think this has had its 15 minutes of fame.
  21. Train to Skaville are playing our own self-arranged self-promoted NYE bash near Devizes. Pretty much sold out already. Should be a great night, really looking forward to it.
  22. Folks, please if you will keep your fingers crossed for my sister in law today... currently under the brain surgeon's knife to remove a tumour. 🤞🏼

Hi Rich, only just seen this but fingers and toes immediately crossed!

  23. That's a lovely new tarps.
  24. Oo, now that's a cracking idea. It'd certainly cure the neck dive. Dammit, you're giving me idea now!
  25. To me (and I'm far from an expert) it strikes me not as difficulty with the language so much as simply a bit hurried. It's perfectly readable, just slihgtly wobbbly. There's actually something quite endearing about it in a Grauniad kind of way.
