    BDI21 Mods

I did this mids mod to my BDI earlier... made it switchable as per the Franken P video. The first time I've taken an iron to a SMT board so I had to take a deep breath first! but it's well worth doing.
  2. We're headlining this wee one-dayer... should be a really good day judging by reports from previous years. We're on 9.30 - 10.30, sunburn and all @skankdelvar are you around for this? https://lovesalisbury.co.uk/2023/04/06/salisbury-live-offering-up-loads-of-live-music/
  3. Wicked Tea? What, like Earl Grey with Ex-Lax? Have a great one, the weather looks perfect for an outdoorsy.
  4. And if you forget the B in your Basschat search, you get a call from your IT department
  5. Nothing new for the online Sindypendent. It's been wall to wall P.Schofield for days. Lazy pseudojournalism.
  6. Another partially pick player here -- I favour the pick for some songs either for playing ease, or when I want a harder edged tone. Can't believe I used to play Rancid's Time Bomb with my fingers, it must have sounded really flat! I've got a pick-specific patch set up on the Zoom MS60B (slight volume drop, roll back on upper mids, wee boost to low-mids) which I'll select if I don't want any particular tonal or volume boost (see earlier comment re: playing ease), but Time Bomb has a patch of its own based on an SVT model with a gritty edge. I use that same patch with my fingers for Too Much Too Young and it seems to work well.
  7. Dashing Away with the Smoothing Iron - English folk song
  8. Yeah, great idea to slag your audience off. Doesn't make you look like a total and utter c*ck at all. https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/royal-blood-big-weekend-mike-kerr-b2348031.html?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwAR36yc1vCTGt5kT-JSeruwMD6FYHOP-_Y8XGj87PhRbe2UV4d5rlVHdp9Mg#Echobox=1685430098
  9. Strange Déjà Vu - Dream Theater
  10. But... but... those ARE the lyrics. Aren't they..? 😕
  11. Vulture Shock - Owlivia Newton John
  12. One excellent side-effect of good bank holiday weather... everybody's having days out, so there was a really short queue for petrol at Costco. 134p a litre, get in :D

  13. Buzz Buzzard Diddle It - Matchbox
  14. Expensive - Valiant
  15. Combine Harvester - Wurzels
  16. Grey Day - Madness
  17. Peek-A-Boo - Siouxsie And The Banshees

    Behringer BDI21 mods

Turns out there are already two threads dedicated to these very mods, so I'll kill this one. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/242268-behringer-bdi21-mids-mod/#comment-2515619 https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/465505-bdi21-mods/#comment-4752998
  19. I found this mod on TB earlier. As a BDI owner and inveterate tinkerer, this interests me greatly. Does anyone have any experience of this mod, or any other mods on the BDI21?
  20. I've used their tuners in the past, open and closed types. Perfectly happy with them. I've also got a Wilkinson pickup in my P bass, it's great. Pretty hot output.

  22. Don't know. It doesn't say you can't.
  23. Ok, I plugged in a right-angle DC plug and this is the overall width. From your dimensions it looks like it should fit.
  24. Well it's here... seems pretty good at the moment, I've not had a chance to run it for any length of time yet -- had a quick blast in the garage and it seems to work fine. I'll report back after the first gig or two. This is it, velcro'd into place under my board. @tayste_2000 I couldn't tell you if it'd fit a PT nano or not, as I don't have one... if you give me the critical dimensions, I can measure it up?
