  1. [quote name='Marvin' timestamp='1333469338' post='1602198'] Worst I do, and I do it every time, is mixing up the input and output up on my Zoom pedal. Obviously this results in no sound Thankfully the 'problem' is fully resolved by the time I've actually got to play. And for some reason I like to put the lead from my bass into the headphone socket on my amp...not once has this worked [/quote] Hence I have drawn arrows on mine with a magic marker......
  2. I do like a bit of banjo and love bluegrass (especially the Metallica tribute stuff) but owning one is out of the question as I dont like being single and that would definately happen in our house.
  3. Nowt wrong with a Flying V Bass.......
  4. I find a rattle can of Satin Black from Halfords will tone down anything too shiney. Works on cars and motorbikes too!!!
  5. [sub]That has to be the single ugliest bass I have ever seen, nasty[/sub]
  6. Find Minds of Montage on Pussbook and give them a shout if you are needing. Saw them a few weeks ago and they were excellent and would fit in just right.

  10. Welcome to the forum...
  11. To my mind gigs are the reward for all the practise we do. Have a blast and when you are sitting having a drink after it you will ask yourself what all the wory was for, only to repeat it all at the next gig, and the next etc etc.
  12. I can feel a project coming on, wondering of the better half wants BC Rich coffee table?
  13. If they are good enough for Tom Araya......
  14. [quote name='mart' timestamp='1329224385' post='1539014'] On second thoughts, please can we NOT have any pics. That's giving me a headache just thinking about trying to play it! [/quote] Never mind playing it, tuning it must be interesting.....
  15. I alos play with a pick and use Dava picks. They are thick but with a thin band across the middle, meaning it will work like a thin one or a think one depnding on your thumb position. I tried loads of them before settling with the Dava's. Bugger to find though.
  16. Cracking song to play. We heavy it up a bit with the guitars but bass line remains the same. We downtune half a setp for most of our own songs and down even further for FBG sounds fabulous.
  17. [sub]I always see equipment lying about in practise rooms but have never used it, I prefere to play about with my own setup. [/sub] [sub]Difficult position having to reply on their equipment due to travel restrictions.[/sub] [sub]I know a lot of places allow you to store gear there securely, is this an option for you?[/sub] [sub]BTW, our practice room have and Ashdown 410 combo, and a Trace rig for hire, I think they charge an extra £10 on top of the cost of the practise (which is £10 per hour) [/sub]
