2. Darn tooting it was quick - was trying to buy ine of these here in the UK and I think Clarky bought the one V&R had that I was after. Once spotted snapped up! Looking forward to giving it a good run with my rig and pairing up with the BassDrive for uber-rumble!

5. I've the number of a guy in Haymarket who could take a look at this for you Butler if you take it
6. Any sign of any of the GuitarX2 getting in the 65 Amp Apollo heads? I'd really like to try one Has anyone heard much about them yet?
7. Yeah before I joined this band they kinda stuck to a theme of red, black and white colours but everyone seems to gravitate towards these colours think Green Day White Stripes etc As for a look off stage I'm not suggesting we all walkabout looking like the next Power Rangers or the pilots of Thunderbirds 1 through 5 *(which would be an awesome band name!) Doddy hit the nail on the head by saying and Im watering this right down doddy so forgive me.... "......there should be something that ties you all together as a band, ......devising a look that retains the individual personalities, yet gives presence as a band - it was obvious who the band was. Cheers to all who have responded - its a great discussion and even tho I was hoping for more pic's to give ne ideas I guessing Im gonna go the the bass players go to clothing of hat (and maybe waistcoat) now if I can just make that work with the overall look!
8. Yeah thanks for the responses both the comedy and more thoughtful I guess my band are of the opinion that we should look different from the crowd and at events like other local gigs etc not drees like cheerleaders but have a toned down version of the stage wear. I think it's interesting that some people think that their bandmates could make a greater effort. The band essentially wanna make a go of it and are trying to be as well positioned and marketable so if the right gig or break happens during all the hard work there is an identity, brand or whatever you want to call it that can be easily identified by the record big wig seriously tho it's kinda the evolution stage of this band and the let's take this serious and try and make it work. For everyone else in this position I wish you luck and hope to gig with some of you guys along the way.
9. OK so im in a couple of bands - i've been in a few before too and only once did we set out to havea style - we took the easy option and wore suits. Nice! In one of my current bands the members really wanna set a 'style' have a 'look' or whatever. These ppl have a keen desire to play some quality shows and get some interest with a view to getting a manager and applying for festivals. `the sooner the better but realistically in a yr. So the issue of style comes up and someone mentioned post-apocalyptic!!! Snake Pliskin anyone? naturally Im the bass player so Im thinking stick on a hat - job done! Have any of you guys made a conscious decision to 'dress' as a band on stage and when attending other gigs to keep the stylistic motif of the band so that you are readily identifiable? At a recent 'industry' event in Scotland there were a few bunches of people who I can only presume were in a band as to how they were dressed....... and the fact it was an event for bands Just call me Columbo Discuss!
10. cool whats your band called i know the venue well
11. hey where you playing tonight? Some fellow BC'ers might be interested in checking out the talents of our forum brethren JB if your goin to the gig gimme a shout
12. Hey had some dealings with this fine young man recently and everything went real smooth. Good communications and a joy to deal with. Highly recommended Gavin
13. lets hope GG do a blowout on Lakland just like with the TecAmp gear
14. Hey for what its worth I tried an orange tt against my aguilar db659 the other day and wasnt impressed - lots of volume but nowt much else to my ears. I'm not saying the db is better for old school recording but its got great tone tho maybe hard to find. What something like the catalinbread pedal sft pedal or the electronix submarine designer - lots of ols school options and run thru a valve di like the art - Boom! vintage for less. I had a minimat for a while and it was great for valve goodness recording direct. Hope that helps and let us know what you find
15. Got lovely wee hollow body Rivoli style bass but wanna upgrade the pots. As the title suggests Im not sure which would be better suited for this hollow body style mudbucker equipped thumper. Im guessing a gibson equivalent would do the trick but any advice is welcome. Cheers in advance.
16. I have one of these and they are quite versatile from clean boost to hit the front end of the amp hard for (with my valve pre at least) an nice 'active' type sound I think of it as SVT is just beginning to get pushed Bump for a great price!
17. Cheers for that! I was looking at their submarine designer eq and it looks pretty sweet - its got swtiches!!!!! If you do get any sound clips let us know as I don't think I can listen to Roxanne anymore

19. Hey there spaz91 At the minute Im gonna hang back on your offer and I have to say the ATK looks pretty mean. Ideally Im after the sale or trade for a skyline. I will think it over tho and read a up alittle on these basses - had an ibanez bass a few yrs ago and really liked it - very playable. Cheers
Could I interest you in an Ibanez ATK300 + £70?
20. PM'd bump
21. Price drop to £300 Eyeing up some other items which are ending soon on fleabay and need to get a move on. Buyer to pick up p+p This is a killer deal folks. Go play one of these at your local guitar store this w/e to see what you could be the proud owner of!!
22. Jezza Yeah to be honest Im gutted as I played one in the shop and I really like the feel of it - moved the strap button and use with a leather strap so it sits fine but once I go back to my P Bass it just feels so right. I think a trade for a Lakland skyline BG or DD with maple neck (plus some cash) is on the cards as that should have been my 2nd bass! Better the devil you know!
23. To expand on my original post Just a few months old this is a natural oil finish T Pro Thunderbird bass. It has none of the rough neck problems that some guys here have had with their NO finish T pro's. The bass plays great has a really nice sustain from the thru neck construction and looks killer on stage. It has a more 'jazz profile' and certainly suited to fast runs. T The bass works really with with dirt boxes and i used it mainly on the tunes which I use dirt alot. Sounded very rock I can tell ya. Sonically I find this bass very versatile. Its has active p/u's ( and roundwound strings) and as I normally play a P bass with flatwound strings its a great contrast for the songs where I use it with my band - being able to boost the bass and treble means I can leave my amp alone and do all changes from the bass itself - very useful when switching mid set. The tone is solid and it can go from a burpy j vibe on the bridge to P bass fullness. I found that some solo bass tunes I have sounded great - the harmonics jumping out and sounding very alive with the tonal range much more tweak-able than my P bass. Its hard to describe tone but you get the general idea. My reasons for sale are simple - While I love the look, feel and sound of the bass Im just too used to the P bass neck dimensions. The T Pro is a great bass and I was so pleased when I finally got a Thunderbird I liked.....but Im a P bass guy true and true ( I shifted a really nice Jazz to get my current P) My options now are to sell or trade up in px for a Lakland Skyline BG or DD and cash (from me) and put in a new P-Retro from East when he gets them out for sale to make it active. Ideally a straight sale would better but I'm willing to listen to trades especially that '03 Duck Dunn Skyline that was in here a few months back Price includes an Epiphone leather effect hard case that is fitted for the T Bird - much higher quality than the moulded guitar cases they do on their Dot guitar models. I cant get my pic's to upload but PM if interested and I'll mail them to ya if you fancy a gander! A note to the guys who have already been in touch looking to buy the case only - Thanks for the offers but I think I'll sell them as a package as its a shame to split such a lovely couple. Thanks for reading k
