  1. Only ever played one relic, which was the road worn classic 50. I own the normal one and have too say the rounded board edges, sanded neck ect, Did infact make the road worn nicer to play. I will get around too buying one eventually
  2. thats a hell of a cab. Monstrous sound for it size. Wish they,d of had these 20 years ago πŸ˜‚
  3. Hes the sole reason i went for a big baby instead of 2 x 1 10,s πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  4. yh blowing 2 bf cabs takes a special person πŸ€”πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  5. Cant believe no 5 string guys have snapped this up yet........ The pups in this are seriously top end. Imo you cant beat any of the nordstrand soap bar variants for versatility and piano like clarity. Killer combo with that maple neck.... Chris rock better watch out cause this will slap harder than will smith πŸ˜‰
  6. After spotting a few classic 50,s i thought i,d better investigate. Folk were making some very big claims. I received mine on Monday. I wanted it to be bad. There was absolutely no way this mex guitar was making the rack with my other basses. Me and a friend blind sound tested a US 60th anniversary p, US ltd rosewood and the classic 50 straight out of the box. The classic 50 just had an extra 5%, too our ears. There was more feedback through the body despite inferior hardware and a badly cut nut. It had a lower, woody tone all of its own in a mix. No doubt due to the one piece cricket bat neck. I will swap the bridge for a babicz as i hate all fender bridges anyway, and round the fretboard edges. But mines going nowhere, ever. Someone needs to grab this....... You will not regret it........ Decent price too

  8. Pulled the hammer on a sims custom jazz on sunday and a classic 50 the week before, otherwise i,d have snapped this up. If you knocked my front door with this in your hands i,d struggle not too hand over my amp money πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚
  9. disgusting right πŸ€”πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Think i was fingered by a metal fan in my pram πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚
  10. I spoke to the guy. Hes got multiple barefaced cabs. Said a speaker stopped working in this and alex wanted too much for a speaker apparently. He had another cab with a dodgy speaker in it so he donored the good speaker into that. Didnt question him on the wiring job.
  11. Shouldnt be here still at that price.......... If it was active i could justify buying it along side the classic 50 and 60th p bass i,m still waiting delivery ofπŸ€”
  12. Im a fan of the 6 string stuff. Not for me tho. The amp sounds like a bad 90,s korg pedal in person imo. They should have taken the route of the 2nd amp, Nextone where it concentrated the focus on emulating 2 or 3 different tube types and configs instead a catalogue of unusable effects. For me more than anything it seems tuned the same as their guitar speakers, sounds similar if you plug a bass into a a 2 x10 katana. lacked the rounded low end.
  13. The 2 cabs are defo the way forward if portability is also a factor. Your ears will thank you for it. Its all about moving air. You,ll get more depth and punch from the 2 over one and you,ll be getting full beanz out of the head.
  14. can you tame these beasts or are they purely all gnarl
  15. Bass certainly got a bit of mojo going on πŸ€”
  16. Im near carmarthen. But will travel.
  17. Postage is fine with me if it is with him. Hoping my dreams are answered by someone who lives up the road πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Thanks for the reply.
  18. Just wondering if any of you wonderfull basschatters know of anyone or of a decent vintage amp repair service (home stereo) .....pref in the wales area but will travel if needed. My heads mashed , cant live without it, nothing else delivers the bass out of my 863,s in the same barbaric way πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
