1.
Hurry, hurry, hurry - a battle-scarred Kasuga advertised with the R-word: http://www.ebay.co.u...5#ht_500wt_1041
......aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand GONE lol
2. I havent got the time to read 36 (!!!) pages of stuff but I learned "Think!" at the weekend and now cant stop playing it on me P with flats. Lovely stuff. Room to impro as well, do like a bit of that!
3. Just the kind of thing I want but im probably going to have to go down the Geddy Sig route for financial reasons! Beautiful bass chap, good luck with the sale.
4.
Pics aren't working for me, anyone else got the same issue? How's Sidmouth this time of year? (I'm an ex-Seatonian).
Not working for me either...
5. There was a little drop down thingy at the bottom right of every page on the old version that let you skip back to a parent forum, could we have that back please oh lovely mod chaps? Handy feature
6. I was after one for my Les Paul but never bothered in the end. Lots available on USA eBay if you have a gander as someone else has rightly pointed out.
7. Pure s3x - the singer in my old band has a '76 of this in the same nick / colours scheme. Truly lovely
8. Handy stuff to know... shame they are muddy then! I might have to think again... perhaps look next year on the vintage market then... shop around...
9. No one own one of these? Im surprised given the attractive price point...
10.
I've only had one experience buying a bass from V&R myself and it was all very pleasant, the prices can be pretty "optimistic" but I guess thats the way they work and it doesnt mean you can't discuss it with them. I'd happily go there again.
Absolutely the same experience I had which I mentioned on the Denmark St thread. Would be more than happy to deal with them again. After sales service was excellent also. Never had a problem trying out anything ive wanted to, and I dont look like a dude with loads of money... I tend to smell faintly of beer and smokes as thats generally what ive been doing before walking in there.
11. Love JB and his playing ever since I heard *that* version of Crossroads. A big hero of mine, the main reason I went out to buy an EB3.... (but ended up with a Les Paul Bass instead, haha)

13. I've always had decent service from V&R when i've popped in... They have let me try whatever I wanted with no fuss. I have bought from them as well. Although one time they were offering a Ric 4001 up for sale for a large amount of money... Which I then had to point out was a 4003 with the push-pull VT circuit. Oops!
14. You could bung some TI flats on it... That would give a lush deep Dunn-esque thump for Motown!
15. That finish is beautiful. A stunner of a bass for a great price!
16. noooooooooooooo!!!! not getting on with it?
17. mmm... anyone out there got one? The price point is fairly attractive
18. Does no-one know anything about these?
19. Should also add that im very tempted by a Geddy as well...
20. Hi all Anyone got one of the new J specials? Im really thinking about getting a J and moving my P on as the neck on a J is far more suited to me (given im used to Ricks)... and these new Specials look damn fine for the money. Whats the difference between these and an Amercian Standard? I am a sucker for the old skool TV logo as well...
21. I have an '09 MIA Precision which is great 'n everything, but I feel far more at home with my Rick... probably due to the neck. Been thinking about trying to arrange a trade for my P... get a Jazz maybe... probably more my kind of dimensions
22. With the original OHSC id say about £1100-£1200 is a good / realistic price? If buying from a dealer you'd normally be looking at £1600+ I would say.

surely Mr Dood could do with another one?
24. Im glad you have! Give it time.... these new Rics are truly excellent basses.
25. Beautiful! I love my 4003, same year etc. I dont really play my P that much.... but I dont think I need two 4003's though...
