1. I solved the search for transcriptions by getting logic and downloading midi songs. There are probably many cheaper alternatives to logic, but I also wanted to use logics recording facility. Now I have a library of tunes (2000+). I also subscribe to www.sightreadingfactory.com/app. For £20 a year you have limitless material and progressive levels. You can try the app for free. The material the website generates for bass are not really basslines, so not what you'd play in any other context than just sight reading practise, where as using midi files, you are getting more or less the real deal.

3.
This is the nicest bass I've seen advertised for quite some time. CB Wow Lovely I love this! The twin pickups offer a wider variety of sounds than the usual, although I would say all the sounds are identifiably Musicman… Don't think you can choose one of the neck and bridge single coil pickup selections and sound like a jazz bass… That isn't going to happen. All selections have that Musicman sound - just more of it The bass is in very good condition with no buckle rash or play wear. I'm fairly open to suggestions (Fender P to Wal and all in-between) , and would prefer something to 'light my fire' instead of taking something in trade then having to sell it on, so please feel free to hit me up with what you have… I am happy to courier the bass to you and postage in the UK is included in the price. Heres the little ding on the back Here's some more pics And I really tried hard not to make any mistakes when typing the advert ….. This is a new one to me, at first I though someone had photoshop and a spare 5 minutes. Anyone tried one?
6. Wonder if that would count as an extra band member?
7. I found the whole concept of a 'guitar on the back of your bass' upsetting - although I'm sure there is some clever 'dick' out there who could play guitar and bass at the same time….. not too sure I'd like to see that at a gig though

12. I bought a Barefaced cab from Geoff and he really went the extra distance to make the transaction a smooth one - 124.8 miles to be precise. Thanks for delivering Geoff - thrilled to bits Justin
13. Here are some rough sound clips. These were all Di'd straight into the Audio interface. Everything was flat, no compression or any other EQ. With Series / Single Coil and Hum-bucking switching options for each pickup in addition to the pickup pan, treble cut / boost and bass cut / boost knobs, there are too many variations to record, so here is a basic idea of just the pickups on there own and together. Treble and bass were at 5 (in the middle - no cut or boost) toggle switches were set to the series position for both pickups. Please forgive offensive playing and general lack of talent Neck Pickup only Both Pickups Bridge Pickup only Pan at 4 (Slight rear pickup bias) Treble at 4 (cut -1) Bass at 2 (cut -3), Neck pickup Humbucking, Bridge pickup in single coil.
14. Matt bought a P bass from me a couple of weeks ago whilst I was away on holiday. Arranged to meet with the old fella and the deal was done whilst I was on the other side of the planet. Thanks for putting in the extra effort to make this happen Matt - enjoy the bass.
15. I bought an amp from Ian. Sweet transaction - I'm looking forward to it turning up tomorrow. Many thanks Ian Justin
16. I sold a bass to Arnaud and shipped it off to France. Excellent straight forward transaction with lots of good, clear communication. Highly recommended Thanks Arnaud. Justin
17. Excellent youtube clip - made me go and look at your other vids on youtube. Thanks for the Jazz bass with and without pick guard comparison - pure gold
