  1. Finally got my amp back... Nearly 3 months from purchase 😲. But Christ! This thing sounds phenomenal, a sleeper of a amp for sure... Does the full tube Ampeg sound with total ease+ with a few simple twists it goes straight to a super clean modern. Massively impressed 💪

  3. Around £350 seems to be the general price. Expensive for sure...if it's well made I guess it's in a similar ball park to other premium preamp pedals (Darkglass etc). I wonder if the cab SIM can be used out of the Quarter inch jack as well as DI? ... I know it seems pointless into a head/cab rig but I've always felt it adds something 🤷..like in the tech 21 pedals.
  4. It'll have to be 👌to compete with the market. Sounds nice in that demo
  5. Roadworm esq Ampegs always look quite cool imo
  6. Exactly the same size,just a optical illusion I think 🤷
  7. 😂..yarp,it's the AO and B3k. Surprisingly good quality and sound.silent switching, the AO sounds exactly the same...the 3k has a lot darker drive than the original I change my mind so much with drives these will do just fine for the mo.
  8. I like to use dirt and distortions, so I use a gritty pre amp pedal (Dark glass ,sansamp) as an always on drive with great Eq options which a lot of great heads don't do alone.and sometimes the mix of the head and pedal yeild excellent results. My Pro3 on its own is ok...but with a bit of blended bassdriver it just comes alive.
  9. I doubt you will, but if you ever decide on breaking up the parts I'd definitely be interested in the body 👍
  10. Sorry to anyone interested, gonna withdraw it for the mo.
  11. Me too (although the heads long gone), I much preferred the sound over the 8x10 plus was easier to get around
  12. I know, gutted.i might save my pennies yet n get it looked at.
  13. I had my great condition pro 3 on my bench adjusting the MOSFETs, I gave it a micrometer of a turn and they were reading pretty spot on...where I left the amp running half HR or so with no problems.before I put the lid back on I thought I'd give it another quick check, when I touched the mosfet leg with the multimeter clip (as shown in picture) it made a crack and quick spark.not sure what the damage is...could be a simple fix or could be a big fix 🤷.doesn't appear to be any scorching or damage anywhere else.i did switch it on quickly afterwards where it cut out after a min or so (protection mode).collection or Can meet within reason.Happy for someone to Arrange their own courier.
  14. I'm thinking that👍iTS a itch that definitely needs scratching now
  15. I hope it comes back to me...can't help but have the niggling feeling that Andertons are just going to refund me rather than repair (they did say it'll come back for repair).
  16. Yeah when I looked under the hood them holders looked rubbish,as if they were made from KitKat wrappers. At low levels it felt a lot clearer than the pro3...but means nothing until I hear in a band mix
  17. It was from Andertons, tbf they have been sound with it... Had collected and are doing all repairs.
