  1. hmmm looked like a zoom cut wasn't edited properly. Not sure why you think its only 2 cameras, One in front, one on the drummer, one to the stage left of guitarist and one stage right of me. Wish i had the time to set them all up as well! I put the PA up inc desk, as well as lights, smoke machine, moving heads, never mind my own rig and pedal board! Anyway, your video looks great!
  2. And another from last week, Reaper is such a versatile DAW, the video editing is amazing really considering its not really designed as a video editor
  3. I love DR strings but Im a full on Elixir fanboi now as they last for ages and Im too tight/skint to change my strings regularly. Might give those markbass jobbies a whirl though..
  4. straight off the zoom livetrack L20 desk @Al Krow 4 cameras, edited in reaper https://www.facebook.com/jeffersonarchive/videos/837744237479789
  5. Nice one, we have the L20 actually which is a fantastic bit of kit. good call on the L8
  6. if you're lucky you might get a hastily scrawled chalk board outside and a poster (you delivered) put up somewhere no one will see. We have spent 10 plus years building a (modest) following. We advertise on our facebook page and link to the venues page. For weekend warriors thats enough for us.
  7. The video is fine Joe. How did you record the sound out of interest? Did you use an audio interface like a scarlett focusright or similar into a DAW like Logic or Reaper? That would give you excellent results.
  8. most keyboards/synths/midi controllers have a USB direct into your laptop so you don't use the SSL for that. You would load synth VST's into your DAW of choice. Other older and/or dedicated synths have jack outputs and can be plugged into your SSL just like a bass or guitar.
  9. Another effort using 4 cameras into reaper. Audio was mixed from the desk. I then put the rendered video into the free version of DaVinci resolve as it has a cool auto zoom and pan feature. https://www.facebook.com/jeffersonarchive/videos/828250331752540
  10. amazing playing but im listening to that on studio monitors and theres hardly any bass or difinition?
  11. not sure about the distinctive yellow urethra finish...
  12. they can do, i've heard of some bands who put dust covers over the smoke alarms with the permission of the landlord but obviously I couldn't condone such behaviour...
  13. Torbay area in South Devon. Loads of live music pubs in Torquay, Newton abbot, Teignmouth, Paignton, Brixham, Exmouth, Dartmouth, then up on the moors theres a few towns that do live music so it's pretty healthy at the moment.
  14. deffo recommend a haze machine, black backdrop and a band banner.
  15. Im the opposite, just gone back to my ampeg valve. Chr1st it weighs a ton, but by 'eck it sounds glorious. Im going to use it on local easy load in gigs from now on.
  16. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1447242859089045/?hoisted=false&ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3Ac9f10295-a5e0-414d-8db2-5c131b7cc2fd Im not sure how much customisation there is TBH as I don't do the desk tuning so to speak (drummers job). I know I can ask or more guitar or vocal etc but beyond that Im not sure.
  17. Great review, love mine, despite the weight, its the "one"
  18. Having been gigging with a Markbass CMD 12H combo for a while and really enjoying it;s super light weight and big sound, I decided to drag out from under the stairs the old Ampeg SVT-CL and 410 HLF that had been sulking away since before covid. To be honest I wasn't actually expecting that much of a difference as I DI into the PA as well. I nervously fired it up (I'll not lie, I'm a little terrified of it) and apart from a bit of crackle on the master pot (made me stinky poo myself), all was good. Took it to the venue (made sure it was an easy load in) and set it up. WOW WOW WOW Unbelievable tone, huge Hef...(I'll not utter that word on here) and big creamy fat that I had forgotten all about. Zeps Heartbreaker sounded the best I've ever heard me play it. Even the guitarist and singer commented on how fab it sounded. I'd love to use it on all the gigs but it's just too heavy, so maybe it'll get an airing 2 or 3 times a year but by God what a sound, absolute beast. maybe there is some truth in the difference with valves? Don't want to necessarily spark that old debate but if you ever get the chance to gig with something like this, really, give it a go.
  19. No, you're very welcome, really. But please appreciate this isn't Talkbass!
  20. got some on my P. They were going cheap so I thought I'd give em a go. They've lasted zingy for ages. I prefer elixirs if I'm honest but these were half the price.
