1. conversation this morning with ebay hope this settles the matter for good! Peter Gavitt Welcome to eBay Live Help, my name is Peter. How may I assist you today? skidder652003 hello skidder652003 i have sold an item to a buyer. and i have some converns Peter Gavitt May I know your concerns please? skidder652003 The item is very heavy and i speciffically asked for pickup only. They have informed me they will paypal me on monday (again i asked for immediate payment) and arrange a courier for wednesday or thursday. What are my responsibilities to see the item arrives safely to the buyer when i wanted pickuo only? skidder652003 I have heard there is a scam where they say the item has not arrived and paypal takes the money from your account and you loose both the item and your money. Peter Gavitt Steven, if you have selected collect only you are not obliged to post item, pleaes ask the buyer to arrange courier and too when you confirm that you have received your payments. skidder652003 what if they say the item has not been recieved? Is the obligation upon me to assure the item reaches the buyer or does my responsibility for the item end when the courier takes it away? Peter Gavitt If there buyer arrange their courier, the responsibilty will be at buyer's end. skidder652003 Are you sure? i have heard that paypal consider the responsibility to be upon the seller to ensure the item reaches the buyer even if the buyer has arranged the courier and can refund the buyer if they claim the item did not arrive. This refund would come from the sellers paypal account. an you confirm or deny this? Peter Gavitt If you have selected collect in person, then you are not responsible for item to post, it is the buyer choice whether they want to collect or arrange courier, if they arrange a courier then they are responsible not you.
2.
I guess the real question is, why didn't you stick it on the sale forum on basschat?
cos no one would buy it!
3.
But the buyer is sending UPS to collect. The buyer is NOT asking the seller to post it. No more hassle than the buyer collecting. What's the difference between the buyer collecting and UPS collecting? NOTHING The seller is just looking for an excuse to relist coz he got less than he wanted. Poor form!
eh? No Im Not! Where did you get that idea from? I just had a bitch about the correspondance i recieved when i stated clearly pickup only! If she (actually) wants to send a courier thats her problem, its going to cost a minimum of 60 quid and thats even if they will pick something up that's probably 60 kilos, as long as i get paid on Monday im not bothered who collects it.
4. just contacted by the buyer and they want me to wrap it for a courier and i said collection only! God knows what its going to cost to courier, way more than its worth i would guess! Dear skidder652003, Hello. I am the lucky winner. I will pay you till Monday via paypal. 5. 50 quid! Ah well thats the way it goes... was taking up room in the garage and i was never going to use it again 50 quid and some space in the garage or a big f**k-off piece of wood to bump into in the dark? Suppose im a bit pi**ed off cos i think i paid 150 squid 3 years ago but ive had 100 odd paid gigs out of it so.......... Nobody's paying bugger all at the moment for gear, it's a buyers bonanza out there!!!!!!!!
6. got 6 hours to go on my 410 and im up to 4 quid! Result! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180891141796?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
7. i use the ampeg PF500, so far no probs at any gigs, you cant beat a little head onstage
8. Don't think im going to drop 5 grand on someone with 39 transactions to thier name on ebay TBH
9. went for just £36! missed out on it!
10. thats a great version. Our lot play it in the set (with a bit of third stone from the sun thrown in). Its a cracking finger work - out but tends to unfortunately die on its arse with the punters so had to go
11. As I provide the PA, theres basically 2 boxes of everything, leads, kettle leads, batteries, mics, strings, tools everything including the kitchen sink and a soldering iron! We've turned up at pubs that are pretty hopeless when it comes to getting their sh*t togeather so come prepared for pretty much all eventualities. Like someone else said, the punters don't care who in the band hasn't brought something, they just come to listen to the band!
12. That looks fantastic! I have a sh*tty 4 x 10 that could do with that!
13. Thanks for that guys, really enjoyed it!
14. looks like a good price http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DHA-Fuzzy-Feeling-/150820159707?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&hash=item231d9500db
15. im finding here in Devon that whilst some pubs for sure are closing or just cancelling gigs, others are starting up and giving it a go. Sure, you have to travel some fair distances, quite often a 2 hour round trip and the fees are really tight (approx £200 for a 3 piece) but you've gotta be prepared to put in the work getting the gigs and constantly ringing round/ popping in etc, but that's a whole other thread!
16.
Legacy strings from Stringsdirect are fantastic!
yep legacys are ace, £7 a set. never broke one yet even with a pick, last 3 months a time, nickel suit me best, fine for gigging in a leary rock band!
17. all i have is a DHA VT-2 Eq pre amp, markbass compressore, boss TU-3 tuner and a dodgy 80s analogue pearl flanger, quite enough for 60's/70's cover band!

20. good times, Chic, still havent got the bugger...
21. Hi Guys just picked up a warwick WCA 115 from mansons 2nd hand but mint for 100 squid. Im pretty pleased with it compared to my Ashdown 115. At the mo im using both the ashdown and the warwick into an ampeg PF-500. Do you reckon adding a second Warwick and ditching the Ashdown would be good move if i could pick up another for similar money?? That would be running 4 ohms total into the 500w. The warwicks 400w and the ashdown 250w both 8ohms. Reckon you would hear much of a difference? cheers!
